To be fair, thinking of the show as "mecha School Days" is rather unlikely and fairly unsupported thus far. Especially since I don't think it'll have that kind of ending (if you know that I mean). Whether you like Valvrave or not, that's a random comparison.
The show will have suffering and death, no doubt, but Makoto was a special kind of terrible main character and a horrible person to everyone in School Days. Haruto is positively vanilla, even a bit boring, and well-meaning in comparison. No matter what happens to him, I don't think he'll end up in such a situation. |

That's a little OT though. Anyway, this episode was another very hilariously silly episode, IMO. |

I've been meaning to ask this but what does Saki liked about Haruto?
The school is just a three years old institute and she got in last year. What could possibly be the reason for liking him into a romantic level? |

If you watch her moments carefully, it really shows how her interest in Haruto is related to her character. She was really excited during the Valvrave hijacking in episode 2, for instance. She seems to love action film scenarios and having a vampire boyfriend who pilots a powerful mecha might be a perfect fantasy fulfillment for her.
