Mostly about the Gundam DX set and how fans across Japan were madly raged against the Gundam's cancellation.

PS - Tomino getting angry resembled a Yakuza according to Kusakari.

Another line's epic too regarding supply problems of the DX.

"If I don't buy it, Gundam's gonna die!"

Chapter 10...

Tomino gets interrogated by the council, this time with an ally.

Ikeda and Furuya are about to go for a drink when they encounter a "young girl".

A very amusing Manga,but I wonder how many of these events are historically correct and how many are just humourous fiction.

Particularly the fan outrage due to the cancellation of MSG and the whole "let's buy a stupid Gundam toy to help the series" movement. Can these be confirmed?

And Freddie Mercury being a hardcore Gundam fan is a bit far-fetched.

They didn't really buy to help the series, its just that the toys turned out to be extremely popular for kids and teenagers.

Bandai only managed to finish manufacturing and roll out the toys after the show was cut.

Bandai decided to sponsor Tomino again after seeing the great amount of sales.

Basically the events that took place in real life is dramatised further.

Thank you for clearing this up.Looks like there is a bit more to Gundam's second chance than people just digging the reruns.

Tomino has a grudge on Space Battleship Yamato after the president refused to sponsor the creation of the Gundam movies. Until he found the meaning "Make Kamato!"

His line: "Don't look down on anime makers!"

The word "sousei" had already speaks for itself. And for those illiterate in Japanese, it translates to "Genesis".

I think this chapter might just explain why Tomino always follows up his "kill'em all" shows with light-hearted ones (ie Zambot 3->Daiturn 3; Zeta->ZZ), he fools the sponsors into funding a kill'em all show, then is forced to listen to them in order to get more work, then fools them again, etc.
