I wonder what the quantum torpedo something or other machines are. The three combat ships have them, but the carrier doesn't seem to have them. (I am going to have a bit of work making these work with the game).

Also the Gamilas battle carriers still don't have specifications on how many planes they can carry.

Those ships look fantastic.

The new Gatlantis ships look better than the originals in my opinion.
Also, I imagine the ships had to be redesigned since Studio Nue did the originals if memory serves correctly.

I wonder if that means the EDF fleet will be redesigned as well?

Looking forward to seeing these movies and a new series if there is going to be one.

They aren't that much different. Just in detail. The cruiser is entirely new though. They didn't have those in the old series or movie. Just the similar, though larger Antimatter Missile Cruisers. Which are covered with missile launchers.

Anyone have a clue what these are though? 量子魚雷噴進機 The translation programs sort of surrenders on it.

Whew! That's a tough one.
Closest I'll guess is that is reads in English something like "Special Torpedo Weapon Quantum missile" but I could easily be wrong.
If anybody has a better translation, please, by all means post it.

Google comes up with "Quantum Torpedo 'injection advance' machine". And that's only if I break up the characters it just won't read together.

Energy torpedoes? As oppose to physical missiles? Basic problem of course is that would've not seen what they even are. Not even sure where on the ships it is.

Aihara seems to be getting a larger role.
Kodai is getting more responsibility I imagine.
Can't tell if anything is different with Niimi.
The pilot is the youngest of the air wing.
The two women are some of the other shifts bridge crew.
The new on with the freckles (name?) is Aihara's full in at communications.
Mikage is the science station fill in when Sanada ad Niimi are out. (I believe what she's wearing is qualified as Absolute Area - S-type_

Saito (Knox in Star Blazers) is listed at being part the science officer Mikage's father's unit during the war.

The three Gamilas men seem to be survivors of the Rainbow Star Cluster battle with Yamato. Their new commanding officer is a colonel. She and Berger seem to have a history. She's also smoking hot in that dress.

That is definately Sabera (Invidia in Star Blazers). That dagger is an interesting addition.
The others seem to be the overall commander of the fleet, and the captains of the carrier and the battleship.

The Klingon qualities show in the spikey toes with those shoulder sashes. With the hair lines and facial hair they seem like a cross between the TOS and TNG Klingons that happen to be green.

Yes, those are Sabela and Saito. Saito is an old family friend of Kiryu's father and the sole survivor of a lunar garrison. (Hence those graves on the lunar surface) He is currently serving and Security Chief at the Far-East HQ.

The long haired Gatlantean is the captain of the Nazca-class Space Carrier Kizca, while the other one is the captain of the Medaluza-class Annihilation Heavy Battleship Megaluda, from which Dagam commands the fleet.

The new girl in yellow uniform is one of Aihara's shift replacements on the first bridge. Interesting that her uniform is different from the other female officers...

And Sawamura has been around for a while.

The new girl has actual pant legs (with black on them) rather than the usually long boot/pants combo like Yuki.

The leg stripe might be thicker and her heels aren't as tall. (She is basically the same age as Yuki)

I cannot wait for this.

The re-imagining of Yamato is honestly looking better than the original.
The production crew, voice actors, artists, and the whole project team have done justice to the original and in my humble opinion surpassed it.

I hope this is as good as it looks in this clip.
