I just realized now that episode 4 now makes sense, the first time I watched it I thought "the trip to okinawa and those shinki weapons cost real money and this is a race sponsored by shinki" but if shinki have real jobs then they must receive real money as payment (albeit I suspect they are paid less than human under the pretense that food, housing and medical care is cheaper for a shinki).

Too many Arnvals though, will cause some problems if Ann goes into another flight again with Master. Especially if they have the same armor pack colour(Shown in this episode.).
But then, if one of the Arnvals carry a hammer which can break even the inner fuselage of the plane .. Distinct hair length or even eye colour(If possible.) may tell the answer...(Unless there is a hair specialist for Shinkis only...)

Right now, I really enjoyed the anxiety and tension built at the climax of the sixth episode when I thought for sure that hell broke loose once the bomb began to trigger, however, the twist at the conclusion revealed it was a dud for an anti-terrorist practice session. What made the pseudo mess all that crazy were the Arnval models, and the leader wearing the same kind of color scheme accesories and jetpack just like our Arn. |

Episode 7:
Hmm, this one was kinda boring for me. The highlight of the episode was when Ann was overjoyed of the thought that her master would inspect every nook and cranny of her. Also I thought it was pretty cool how the shinki's took the umbrella to their master. |

Ines got pretty big scare, but at the end Fubuki just fix the hairpin with the materials at Ann-Ines-Lene-Hina home. Then, the real twist at the came when Fubuki naively implies.... Spoiler:

Here's how I got it. Basically, the sequence was that the grown up Arn was ALL a dream, yes involving the phone call.
The reality PARALLELS the events of the dream, note that it was night time when the Master received the phone call and goes to the Shinki shop.

Do Shinkis Dream of Electric Sheep?
Pretty interesting episode, I wonder if Shinki uses a free (as in beer) operative system, a propietary OS or something in between. If these were not a slice of life anime, I could easily see the scene where all the leaves were flying around Ann to be to be a rehash of a famous movie scene:
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. *laughs* Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like *coughs* tears in rain. Time to die." |

The Deja Vu at the very end was icing on top of a brilliantly laid down cake.
And yes, I wonder whether Busou Shinki would delve into the prospect of Shinkis wishing to be human. On the other hand, I think that such dreams were a virus induced aberration that over-rode whatever safeguards there are preventing Shinkis from wishing to be human. |
