Solace mentioned that it was ok in this post. Condition: "as long as all parties get credit for it." No technical details were worked out... if it becomes popular it seems that we'll need another round of discussion in the SOTM discussion thread.

Spoiler for image:
I think it works. Some text like "Please, make my sorrow gone" or something like that would make it more sorrow-like.

So true. Haven't found any that would have caught my eye. Guess this will get a bit labor intensive. Seems I'm forced to vector some screencap. (Browsing frantically through my soppy stuff...)

Stock didn't take that long to find and effects were fairly easy to do (had to restart like 3 times though).

C&C is appreciated.

^ Wow, that was quick, and it just started. Anyways, it is pretty nice. Though I think some sort of text should be in there, but it is ok for now <3.

I think it needs text too. I just damn suck at it.

Looks ok to me. You can just clone stamp & blur out the text, which should take that long. I could do it if you want.

The text is good, but the render is too off to the side for my taste. Also try adding more colors in the background.

Thanks, but I was planning on just cutting her out without the background. ^^

Did you base that off of a tutorial? I saw a tutorial that had close to the same effect as this one.

I've seen it before, but never use it. The effects were just continuously smudged c4ds and that's probably what the tut did.

Okay. Just curious. After all, the tutorial used the same stock and there were C4Ds for the tears as well.

But once I actually looked at the tutorial [I had to go find it again], they look different. Also, it seems he used Splatter brushes and blurring, while you used smudging.

I actually did quite a bit of gaussian(?) blurring. o.o
No splattering though.

They look different anyways. If you had done it off of the tutorial, you would have done more adjustment layers and such.

Since I'm talking about your signature anyway, the left side seems unbalanced. o__o
