Adobe Image Ready help

Hi, I need some help with Adobe Image Ready CS. Im trying to make something animate but when i duplicate the frame and create new layers and try to edit the second layer or the third, it changes all of the layers. How do I just edit one frame without changing another ?
Anyone want to walk me through this ? images perferred.
Thanks

I guess the most important thing your have to realize is that layers are universal. If you want to make a change on a layer in a specific frame, you must first duplicate the layer.

Sorry about the big pictures, but I couldn't think of another way:

1. Start by creating a new frame.
2. Duplicate the layer in question.

3. Switch back the the first frame and hide the duplicated layer.

4. Switch to the second frame and show the duplicated layer and hide the original layer.

5. You can now edit the layer in the second frame independantly from the first.

PS: I'm not an Anit-Bush Fanatic, I just couldn't come up with any better subject matter.
