Ocha Ken
Alright, admit it.
You downloaded the first couple of eps because they were really small... and now you're addicted to the tiny cute stories, tea dogs and cats, and great music. Let's hear from fans of ocha ken! Anyone have any more information about this show? Was it actually an anime before the products or vice-versa? If this show is only meant to sell the plushies, then it has worked on me... -k curious Ocha cha cha. Ocha. Ocha cha cha cha, Ocha ken. |

Gee I was thinking of starting this topic up today. The narrator's voice really makes the show for me. I like the visual style too. I hardly ever run across a 5 minute feature I dislike so I pounced on this the minute Mognet started releasing it.
I have looked at the Sega website but it's really about the toys. |

I'm guessing since Galaxy Angel is making references to it, Ocha Ken is doing well in Japan. Or is the children's story narrator with simple graphics something prevalent over there? -k curious |

Ocha-Ken
i wanna compliment the fansub grouo Mognet for giving us something unusual
I Luv Ocha-Ken however it seems their 1st batch was a wee bit glitchy where as your other batch isn't and BitTorrent for the bundles don't work anymore (hmm, odd isn't it?) i ask Mognet if they fix the gitchyness of the 1st batch and make the bundles have more seeds than it used to NO negitivity on the Ocha-Neko or the Ocha-Ken i think their cuter than Hamtaro (next to Dogtato-kun... lol!) |

I don't know what's more shameful: watching and thoroughly enjoying a show made for very young children, or reviving a three year-old topic.
I downloaded it recently and have watched it all, and I just want to say that this is how children's shows should be, IMO. I really like the artsiness, the simplicity, and the little not so obvious but nice life lessons at the end (unlike what was shown on dubbed Cardcaptors, Kero's corner... those were just unnecessary ). There are so many over-the-top shows here for kids; Ocha-ken is a real gem in that both adults and children can appreciate it. I should add, I'm also a fan of Koge-pan. It took weeks to download though. No seeds! And I wasn't about to request any for such an old show. o_O |

Like me, your friend has good tastes!
I'm trying to think of something to recommend too... um.... nothing else is a complete equivalent. These light-hearted anime shorts are also great, though none of them are targeted toward children like ocha ken: Funny Pets - wordless CG anime, cute slapstick. Muggles like it too Ichigeki Sacchuu!! Hoihoi-san - cute and fun little robots, but only one ep is available Bottle Fairy - kinda long (12 min each), but a cute parody anime Di Gi Charat - the originals were really short and awesome, cute insult humor Sexy Commando - not so cute, but very funny if you're into weirdness humor -k curious |
