That's 'Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite', in my opinion the best song in all 3 singles. Just like 3 seconds into the intro, it totally perked my senses, its a powerful song.

Yes - the OST is being released in parts with the DVDs. So, expect 8 parts in all.

Yea Mikuru has some good songs too.

All 3 singles are great, but here's a ranking list of the 6 songs from me:

1. Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite
2. Toki no Puzzle
3. SELECT?
4. Mitsukete Happy Life
5 Parallel Days
6. SOS Nara Daijoubu

1, 2 and 3 is actually quite tied together lol

Haruhi's songs are great as well, but I think it wasn't as impressive as God Knows... and Lost My Music.

While listening to "Mitsukete Happy Life" itself is standard good (not particularly outstanding, but I like it), the beginning when Mikuru quietly goes "three, two, one, hai!" utterly destroys me.

I could be going crazy but at the beginning (within the first 10 seconds) of "Mitsukete Happy Life" on Mikuru's Character Song CD it sounds like a "Speak and Spell" is running. For people that don't happen to remember the 25 year old toy here's a link to a site where a guy simulated a "Speak and Spell" with the voice being perfect.

Right now the only songs going for me are God knows... (Hirano Aya) and SELECT? (Chihara Minori). The rest have always been either too weird, happy-happy, etc. for my tastes.

Is there word on when the infamous NAMCO artist (Satoru Kousaki) will be releasing the Suzumiya Haruhi OST?

it might be just me but i think the 3 albums (suzumiya, mikuru, yuki ones) just pales in comparison with the God Knows album...duno why but i dnt find the chara albums appealing...the songs are pretty wierd :S

Well, I'm the minority who didn't find the concert songs that good. I liked the whole concert though and the songs fitted nicely, but as songs, I consider them just good at most.

Well, if you go down to the lyrics, Yuki and Mikuru's songs are really beautiful and I hold them close to the same level as God Knows... and Lost My Music. Haruhi's songs on the other hand got outshined by these 2 songs, Haruhi carried a powerful message during the concert and it makes any other song she sings sound weaker lol

Actually, one reason I'm not as enthused about many of the character album songs is because I don't have a relevant image to attach to them, and often I can't imagine any.

For example, in "Mitsukete Happy Life", I can kinda-sorta see Mikuru singing... but not much else. However, the "three two one hai!" in the beginning, I can so see her doing, and that's why I love it.

Yuki's songs... taken on their own, they're easy on the ears, certainly. But I simply can't imagine Yuki singing. Not with any great emotion or feeling.

Compared to "God Knows" and "Lost my Music", when I can remember Yuki on the guitar and Haruhi singing her heart out... or even better, "Hare Hare Yukai" and the ending dance.

Well, Yuki's songs carry an air of mystery and lonliness. That itself fits Yuki perfectly.

God Knows and Lost My Music is on another level since we saw it performed, a performance is always better than any recorded music.

Mitsukete Happy Life is an enjoyable song. It has a nice happy/sunny/kid-like tune to it, that made me feel happy too. However, nothing beats Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite, since it sounded a little cold but has a very lasting impact on the listeners. The speech part (where Yuki's VA uses Yuki's voice), is simply the best part of all.

Now I remember which .hack//SIGN song Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite's intro sounded like: Its the anime intro (but I forgot the damned title).
