The musical numbers done by the anime seiyuu allstars was just much too epic.

I just KNEW Rie Kugiyama would burst singing.

My train of thoughts about episode 4 was more or less the following, not different from the others:

Premise) summer, swimsuits, fanservice? Probably boring.

1) Oh, a song.
2) Oh, another song.
3) One song after another, how curious (and peculiar as well).
4) This ain't an episode, it's a musical!
5) Having my feet following the songs' rhythm.

Overall) a very enjoyable episode from a non existent plot. 9 out of 10

Perhaps anime should be a bit more daring, as for inserting these kind of songs here and there. Because usually the outcome is good. Just like DK, I thought at the last musical I'd heard before this one, and it was Kurenai ep.6, a totally different context, but at the end you can't forget it (neither the series nor the episode number). I also had a flash of Taishou Yakyuu Musume episode 1, where Kanae Ito's solo at the very beginning was astounding.
So yes, I'm all for this kind of use of one of the key elements of our life: the music. As long as it isn't overused, it'll be certainly fine. More so if this is the VA cast.

When I picked up this series, as first impression it vaguely reminded me of Kemeko Deluxe (crazy fun). Now it would be closer to K-On. Let's hope they can keep the good pace.

Okay... I'm way behind the curve here -- just watched the first episode.

Incredibly unbelievable premise and combination of characters (e.g. a gradeschooler in charge of this lot of wingnuts?) .... but they're all so likeable it passes anyway. Okay... Haruka simply got annoying after about 10 seconds but Yume and Yuuki are incredibly sweet together.

Seems pretty obvious that Kana probably left the house before she was supposed to and the delivery men just confused her --- and that might be vital later

But anyway.... if Haruka calms down a bit I don't think I'll have any problems with the series as a nice way to spend teatime.

But...but...Haruka is one of the reasons I am watching this
Then again...I had to get used to her first before being in the "acceptance" phase and now whatever she does is simply hilarious. Hope she will grow on you quickly there Vexx

Aye...I came for the cute, but I stayed for the Haruka.

Her and our two faced loli are easily my two favorite elements from the show so far.

QFT!

I actually loved Haruka from the get go, she was instantly my fav.
My sense of humor allows for this type of crazyness to be accepted quite quickly

love the little bits with Kana making everyone break down in tears

The chief is a demon...even if she's cute
She's not even a little demon
She's a bona fide demon!
ONI!
ONI!

ahhh I love that song

That was fantastic, the insertion of random musical numbers just lifted the episode wonderfully in my estimation.

Although while the translation of "hataraku shoujo" is to the best of my (admittedly limited) knowledge accurate, the phrase "working girls" is an unfortunate accidental use of euphemism...!

Episode 5, while no longer a musical (I'll miss you, Kanamemo: The Musical) was great and comedic from start to finish.

Typhoon naming discussion.
I'm not sure if Yume believes in the monk or Superman.
Yuuki's exceptionally clingy. Almost yandere-level, if this show took itself the least bit seriously (good thing it doesn't).
The giant teruteru being mistaken for a man making himself taller.
Haruka has a loli power level scanner built into her glasses.
Saki putting tape on Haruka's glasses to prevent her from going wild in the bath (that didn't work out too well).
And Hinata's penny-pinching is providing some great laughs as well.

Next week is telling stories around the campfire. Marshmallows are a must.

Enjoyable once again.
Spoiler for ep5:
I'm particularly enjoying Endou Aya as Yuuki. A voice I could listen to all day. She's also great as Kajika in Hanasakeru Shounen. As she was as Sheryl in Macross F.

I just read a Japanese blog post on on ep5 that confirmed my feeling about the drawing (sakuga) being fairly good.

It also mentioned how the show deliberately avoids any real tension and just conveys heartfulness and good feeling. I guess that's why it has reminded me of Lamune. Which would be a good thing. That was another show that got very little respect from anyone but its few fans.
Spoiler for ep5:

I think that is a great term to use, "ero kawaii". I mean for something like this, I don't even want to see their full naked bodies since the censorship works its charms with the "mood" of the series. I really don't come here to watch ero as there are plenty of other titles out there that specialises that. I come here for the cute

100 points for the coiner of the term "ero kawaii" ....

When Kaoru Chujo mentioned "Heartfulness" - it made me realize that this show strikes a chord not only reminiscent of Lamune but also with Mahoraba: Heartful Days.
