That is an interesting theory, and it would explain why Duval is on this side of the Grand Line, instead of in the New World. ...But, it is unlikely. The current Shanks has not had a strawhat for 8 or so years, so even a former enemy of Shanks would know that he does not bear the strawhat anymore. It is more likely to be an enemy from our strawhats past.

It seems that everyone knows where Shanks is, who he is, and what he does, so I doubt a villian from Shanks past would be destroying ships on the wrong side of the Red Line. It is an interesting idea, but it makes no sense (then again, the villian could be extremely stupid ).

eva thought that this masked dude could be good ol' Crocodile since we neva seen his body when he was crushed and and well u neva seen his body he coulda turned 2 sand and escaped and in the last part of chapter 491 pg 19 his hand looks like its becomin sand or somin
