Renegade-X (Command and Conquer mod for UT 2007)
Just found out about this yesterday... it's basically an attempt to remake Command and Conquer: Renegade's multiplayer mod in a modern engine.
http://www.moddb.com/mods/renegade-x Personally, I think this is great... Renegade's single player mod may have been so-so, but it's still my favourite team oriented multiplayer game ever created. For those who never played it but are familiar with the Command and Conquer universe, it actually integrated a lot of the conventions from the RTSes into a team based FPS - if you could protect a harvester until it got back to base, for example, the players on your team would get credits that could be spent on vehicles and gear upgrades - if the buildings you purchased them from hadn't been destroyed by the enemy. Much nicer than either having vehicles respawn automatically or requiring players to unlock the best gear IMO. I'm really glad to see someone remaking this... the original game is from 2002 and doesn't even have proper widescreen support, only stretched mode. I just hope they a) nail the feel of the weapons, vehicles, etc. and b) get enough players to populate a few servers.

Well it is close to a decade already but it still has servers running. It is probably the only FPS that brings teamplay to its extremes, with tactics like sniper cover for superweapon beacons, flaming APCs, hijacking enemy vehicles, etc.
It is a pity you can't prone in that game.
