Lol, that dragon quest reference was the best part of the chapter and it truly made me recognize Furuichi as an interesting character. In fact, that display actually made him more dispicable than Oga. I wouldn't be surpised if he was the one BL would've chosen if he wasn't so weak and cowardly. Anyways, despite the lack of appearances from characters I grew attatched too, this was a fairly enjoyable chapter and it gave me a good laugh.

The line (also the chapter title) in Japanese is "nakanaka otoko ja nai" which could be translated as something like "maybe he's a man after all" or more literally "he's quite a man, isn't he" - though the real sense is expressing faint praise. "He has more guts than I thought" kinda thing. A fairly common phrase is "nakanaka yaru ja nai" which is similar - "you're not bad after all", ie grudging praise.

IEM made a big mistranslation then because I was basing it on their scan.

But what you said does seem to fit the context better.

Furuichi is so stupidly hilarious especially his choice of words. Stupid delinquents always make life much more enjoyable and humorous xD (also check out Oresama Teacher, about stupid delinquents too). "Furuichi-kun...may I have a word with you?" Man, Oga sounded like a teacher in that one

The guy also has a tat too!O_O Also seems he has 2 super strong stoogies also. __________________
