winhlp32 actually that Mandarin dubs of K-On! you've posted came from Animax Taiwan..At least its WAY BETTER than the Cantonese and English dubs made also by Animax.

I think next week Animax Asia will air K-On!!/K-On Season 2 and let's hope they won't use the same dubbers from Season 1 again,then again my hunch is they'll use those dubbers AGAIN!

There's actually three dubs apparently, TVB J2, Animax and someone/something called "Bee".

They're all... hilarious. But based on the first minute or so of each, I think the Animax one is probably the best.
Edit - nevermind, the TVB one is much better.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I think she has a nice voice, but not for the characters she is doing...(Ichigo/Ritsu...etc)

Is it possible for a 90 second video clip to make one physically ill? In this case . . . oh gods yes. From initial impressions, the Animax dub is better. And I thought I'd never say that.

The dubs made by Bang Zoom! is light years better than that cheap,rushed and flimsy Animax Asia HK dubs of K-On!

At least Ritsu and Mio's voices in the Bang Zoom! dubs are way much better than ones on Animax which is a big miscast!

In general, I agree about the quality of BZE dubs. I loved the Haruhi dubs. They even managed to pull off the sheer insanity of Haruhi-chan. But from the 70 or so seconds of K-On! dub they've shown us . . . I have to wonder if they were using the Animax dubs as their source material ("Heeey, we sound like the Animax dub! Awesome! Good work guys! Now let's go have a beer.")

The only American dub voice I have positive things to say about, so far, is Yui . . . now Yui sounds kinda okay. It's just that her emotion and energy . . . it's how I'd imagine Yui to sound if she smoked so much weed that she just didn't give a <GITAH CHORD> about anything (now there's an idea for a K-On! abridged series . . . Stoned-On!) Can't say anything about Mugi, since she had no lines in the trailer (but hearing their take on Ritsu has, so far, crushed my hopes like a tomato in a ten-ton hydraulic press.)
