If you liked Shakugan no Shana you should check out Zero no Tsukaima and Tsukuyomi ~ Moon Phase.

You might also give Magikano a try. It's a wacky story about magical girls trying to win the affections of a (seemingly) worthless non-magical boy. Nominally nothing special, but particularly amusing because they don't generally get along and so spend more time fighting each other than anything else.

18 volumes, the manga is a lot better than the anime. The manga is 18 volumes and is wonderful, the anime only goes up to volume 13. The manga is really, really great, but the anime takes out a lot of the wonderful storyline.

This manga is very realistic and mature.

Ayashi no Ceres (Manga)

The manga is so great. The anime takes out so much of the storyline. The anime takes out some of volume 1, some of volume 2, some of volume 3, all of volume 6, all of volume 7, a lot of volume 8, almost all of volume 9, almost all of volume 10, a lot of volume 11, etc. The manga is really, really good.

Like I recommended before

Marmalade Boy, the anime is 76 episodes, the manga is 8 volumes.

Volumes 1-8 are sold as Peach Girl 1-8, volumes 9-18 are sold as Peach Girl Change Of Heart 1-10. Makre sure you get the right volumes, you might get the wrong ones. The series is so realistic.

Aishiteruze Baby - Comedy/Drama with a romance as a major sub-plot. Kippei is a high school playboy who has to change his ways when his 5-year old cousin Yuzuha is abandoned by her mother and his family makes him responsible for looking after her. Kippei has to come to grips with being a "parent" to Yuzuha, while at the same time dealing with his growing attraction toward Kokoro, a pretty but distant classmate who dislikes him for his reputation.

Da Capo - Romantic comedy/drama about Jun'ichi Asakura, a boy who lives with his adopted sister Nemu on an island where cherry trees bloom all year long and some people have secret abilities or powers. His life becomes complicated when his cousin Sakura returns after living in America for six years. Sakura looks exactly the same as when she left - apparently she has not aged at all. And Nemu and Sakura were bitter rivals for Jun'ichi's attention in the past.

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora - Romantic drama about a boy in the hospital recovering from a hepititis infection who meets and falls in love with a girl who is also a patient there.

Karin - Romantic comedy/drama about a high school girl who happens to be a vampire. The twist is that she isn't very good at it: in fact, she is almost the exact opposite of what a vampire is supposed to be.

Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~ - Romantic comedy about a boy who comes to Tokyo to attend art college. He moves into an unusual apartment complex with an assortment of oddball inhabitants, and a pretty young landlady who is much more than she first appears.

REC - Romantic comedy/drama about the relationship that develops between a rookie voice actress and an advertising agency worker who meet one night by chance and wind up sharing an apartment and working on the same ad campaign.

Go get Beck- my favorite of all time, a great anime about a kid who doesn't really have a niche who is suddenly thrown into the underground tokyo music scene.

Honey & Clover- the most realistic anime I think I've ever seen, the character development is amazing. It follows a group of students in art college in Tokyo.

If you really like romance, read manga. Manga has a lot more series and varieties than anime, plus manga is more romantic and a lot of manga has weddings and marriages.

You have to read shoujo series, shoujo series have a lot more romance than shounen series (the kind many of the series you mentioned are)

All romances I recommend are boy/girl boyfriend/girlfriend romances where the couple is dating and boyfriend and girlfriend during the series.

The series Mars has a lot more drama and serious issues than Suzuka. The couple in Mars get together in the beginning, are dating and in a mature sexual relationship, date, have sex, live together, get engaged. The series is a lot more likable and serious than Sukuza. The couple becomes boyfriend and girlfriend in the beginning of the series and their relationship goes a lot further than Suzuka and is delved into a lot more. If you enjoyed Suzuka, than you will really enjoy Mars, the relationship and drama is a lot more serious. The couple is living together and in a mature sexual relationship.

With Ayashi no Ceres, only read the manga. The anime totally takes out so much of the plot, it's not even the same story. The manga is so much better than the anime, don't watch the anime, only read the manga. The couple has lots of sex scenes, hundreds of kissing scenes and are making out in hotel rooms all the time. they are living together and have a baby. There is lots of passionate sex and making out in hotel rooms.

I only gave a list because the other guy did, I usually give long suggestions, but I did in a previous topic, I wanted to show that I can make a list just as long as the other posters. The list was not meant as a suggestion, but just to show that I can list a lot, like the other poster did. I wanted to add to their series, to show more series in the topic, it was meant to add to the list to show even more series. My suggestions are within other parts of the post.

Anyways, I present to you, better descriptions. Please read them, I put a lot of effort into writing them. You will really enjoy them if you read my descriptions.

Mars is a definite manga suggestion for the main poster. If you enjoyed Suzuka, Mars is 10 times more dramatic. Mars is a completely different series from MAR, don't get them confused, Mars is a 15 volume manga series where the main couple get together early on in the series, and are boyfriend and girlfriend throughout the series, confronting serious issues like sex, rape, dating, suicide, stalkers, accidents, secret pasts. It's very serious and mature and totally blows Suzuka and any other drama manga out of the water. It is very realistic and easy to relate to. Mars, 15 volumes is the drama series. The couple is in a mature sexual relationship, living together and engaged.

Kare First Love (Not Kare Kano) is a manga series similar to Mars. However, it is less dramatic and more towards romantic comedy than drama. The couple also gets together early on in the series and is dating during the series, but they don't face the same issues as in Mars and it's not as mature.

Kare Kano, a completely different series from the aformentioned ones is also good, the couple becomes boyfriend and girlfriend early on, dates during the series and it's really cute.

Fushigi Yuugi is a great romance. Fushigi Yugi is a great manga with a magical romance. The love story is magical, the manga is 18 volumes, and the couple is boyfriend and girlfriend during the series. It is an amazing love story and the couple is so lovable, it totally owns all the previous mentioned series in this message. The manga is way better than the anime, the story is so great and magical. I was a fan of this series back in 1995, 11 years ago, that's how great the series is, I was a fan back in 1995.
