So I just heard from Coldlight that Sayaka won her AST Round 1 match. Upon coming to this thread, I read that she defeated anime's version of Paris Hilton in order to do so... that just makes it even sweeter.
Three cheers for the Blue Puella Magi! Hip-Hip Hurray! Hip-Hip Hurray! Hip-Hip Hurray!!! I hope that Sayaka, and the other Madoka Magica girls, keep doing well. Oh, nice to see Ohana doing well too.

Yesterday's Results:
Wakura Yuina - 291 Kusano - 40 Miki Sayaka - 445 Takahara Ayumi - 271 Reki - 149 Faris Nyan-Nyan - 242 Tsuda Kotomi - 86 Matsumae Ohana - 407 Sawanatsu Kotone - 177 A solid performance by Sayaka. She won her match without any trouble at all. Ohana had even less trouble in her match, though. The second match was close like I expected but I was completely wrong about who was in the running. It was Ayumi versus Faris for first place not Ayumi versus Reki. It was a surprisingly good performance by Faris but not enough to actually win the match. Today's matches: Shimada Minami vs Yuuki Kanade vs Hirasawa Yui Hinata Ibuki vs Nohohon-san vs Sheryl Nome Kon Futaba vs Nakano Azusa vs Haqua du Lot Herminium Considing current events in BakaTest, this is a particularly bad time to be facing Shimada Minami. It doesn't help that K-On characters haven't looked very good so far. Perhaps if this match happened earlier, Yui could edge out a close win but I don't think she can beat Minami right now. I've seen Infinite Stratos and have absolutely no clue whatsoever how Nohohon-san made it through preliminaries and didn't look that bad either. It's not like Ibuki is that strong but I get the feeling Nohohon-san isn't really as strong as she was during preliminaries. I'm going with Ibuki here. Sheryl shouldn't really cause problems either. At the start of the season I expected Haqua to give Azusa a tough time. Once again after seeing how K-On has done I have doubt Azusa can win. She might not even get that close. Anti-champion votes are not going to help either. Haqua is pretty strong so I think she's going to beat Azusa. Votes: Hirasawa Yui Hinata Ibuki Nakano Azusa Prediction: Shimada Minami Hinata Ibuki Haqua du Lot Herminium

Result so far 24-25-8; only 7 picks of mine remains in JMOE with Homura Akemi, Mayushii, and Erio's Elimination. Victorica, Elsie, Ika Musume, Menma, and Char move on to the next round. Picks for 9/6/2011 (DFC duo vs K-ON's dynamic duo) E4 Minami (I love the current Baka season, hopefully she can hold her own ground against a powerhouse Yui with some sweet backup from other factions.) E8 No picks E12 Haqua (Defending champion needs to let go as she's the sole remaining pick of mine last year in the top eight, and didn't expect she goes all the way and win it all. Mirror match?) |

All the matches pretty much the same. Nohohon-san is the only one with a sizable lead. Azu-nyan and Haqua have been going back and forth with Haqua going ahead again in the last couple of hours. This will likely be another match decided by fake votes in the last hour. Overall, suprisingly not big voting numbers. Winners will probably not have much over 200. interesgly enough, Haqua and Minami have almost the exact number of votes Poor Futuba, she is only averaging about 4 votes/hr

Picks: 6-6 (33-24)
Predictions: 10-2 (44-13) Most surprised by Charlotte's win. Also laughed at prospect of a Sayaka snipe. Lol. Picks: Yui, Nohohon-san, Azusa Predictions: Yui, Nohohon-san, Azusa Sadly even with the combo, I'm not that sure if the K-ON duo will make it... But I must believe in Azunyan!!

Hacqua-Minami combo is more superior than K-On's. Hoping for no fakes cause I kinda want Minami to win this. Also I'm voting for Hacqua because Azusa already won and Hacqua is actually a good Tsundere character.
