Ohhhkaaaay!?!
Until I can get a TL in my hands, things are toooo strange. Maybe I'm showing my age, but I think there was some "bad acid or angel dust" in that drink. Pokey/stabby and bloody handprints is not what I signed on for. Max:The whole DBZ thing is wide open in this last 15 chapters. I'm still laughing about that even without a TL. It's the HAIR/aura stuff. |

well...at any rate it seems the series might end up at good ending...and nagi will end up at HAREM ending..yeaaaah (with 3 children, of course...after all there is no contraceptives whatsoever and im sure the villager has been doing whatever it can do to make sure the maiden is pregnant before offing nagi and whoever "LUCKY" maiden)

Stabby-stabby still seems awful extreme if the only reason is to keep yourself awake.
Chasing down Shizuku was a foregone conclusion from the beginning. I'm assuming that she is already at Umi no Misaki, but it is hard to be sure since neither the lovers rocks nor any other landmarks are visible. I was hoping the picture would replicate a scene from chapter 1, but it does not. |

There's a cross cultural reference that I don't get.
In my culture, when the girl you love drugs you and then leaves to sacrifice herself, in order to wake one's self up, one would slap himself, punch a wall or dip one's head in cold water.(ref:Indiana Jones or Frank Miller) Stabbing is NOT part of the drill. Is this behavior part of the Japanese culture or is it tied to our beloved Author's plan to drive midwesterners crazy? (Me in particular) |

Or, as is shown toward the end of the chapter, the stabbing is Nagi's way of arousing the Dragon God within himself. Knowing that his godhood can succeed where his frail human side might fail.

Kind of a risky gamble. But it's a better call than some of the other choices.
One of the complaints about the storyline is that there was no evidence of Nagi's godhood.(Besides the COMPLETE lack of any backstory!) The Rinne rescue was the first supernatural manifestation by the MC, shown in the plot. Sooo, Ya gotta believe Nagi knows what he's doing. I believe the Author is going to turn this part of the tale into something positive, and provide an ending that ties up the loose ends. Any other thoughts on possible outcomes? (Positive ones please. "They all die in agony" will NOT cut it.) |

Uh.... my reason is - I don't get 'tragedy' vibes from this manga? And, yeah Rinne is here this time. Also - evidence of Nagi's godhood so far = in his pants.... |

Nagi's "endowment" has been a running gag from early in the plot.
Chap 7,P3. "Packin some heat". And I don't get the "Tragic" vibe either- Until Chap 115. I think the Author is able to mislead you, the reader, so well that it's ALWAYS a guessing game as to where this roller coaster is going next. Between the use of telescoping time, (the shortest amount of time can take three-five installments),to the total wildcards we've been handed, (Anybody remember Mike? How bout reincarnated Rinne?) I have always been wrong about what I thought was next. BUT the story has always felt positive. I just don't see it coming.(Would that have been Chap 113+114?) |

The possibility of tragedy flows from three sources. 1) The first chapter reads like a eulogy. ("She once told me... That is when I first met her..." 2) The emphasis on self sacrifice and predestination. ("If I die, then that is my fate.") 3) The recent chapters with each of the girls hiding things from Nagi and breaking tradition or going to extremes to protect the others from what may come next.
Possible outcomes: 1. Shizuku dies. Nagi leaves island in grief (with or without the other maidens). 2. Shizuku dies. Nagi lives with one or both of the remaining maidens. 3. Shizuku and Nagi die. 4. Nagi dies in Shizuku's place. 5. All live, Shizuku wins. 6. All live, harem. 7. All live. Series becomes Daily life of a demi-god. (Hard to imagine it as Ai Yori Aioshi, since everyone has been consummated, or Kimi no Iru Machi since with 3 or 4...) |
