Eiyuu Kaitai (Heroes Dismissed)

Quote:
Kodansha Box's official website for the Kurage no Shokudō anime announced on Tuesday that work has begun on the upcoming anime adaptation of Kyōhei Koyama's "Eiyū" Kaitai ("Heroes" Dismissed) novel.
Plot Summary:
Quote:
The story centers on a boy named Uro Yamada, and a 17-year old girl named Karon. Both work as part of the "Hero Retirement and Return to Everyday Life Assistance Agency," which takes heroes from another world back to Earth and helps them reintegrate into everyday life. Karon, a former hero herself, works under Uro as they tackle cases, and also lives with him, with Uro constantly failing to rein in Karon's hero-like behavior even as he tries to ingrain the behavior of common people into her.
Studio will be ZEXCS.

huh.... what a weird synopsis but not really strange. Especially with the current trend but is this based on manga or light novel? looks to me that its a light novel with the way the story is presented.

They're still alive? I have really bad memories about them... Anyone remembers Chrome Shelled Regios anime?

This could be good, but the animation studio worries me.

ZEXCS? The only two things I watched from them were Mangaka-san to Assisstant-san to and Diabolic Lovers. First one was alright, the second one... Let's not talk about it.

Well, actually I liked anime on it's own, but adaptation wise it was not that good. They did middle of series ok, but in beginning there was a lot of changes and series ended with unnecessary filer. They can do entertaining series, but they are not best choice if you want faithful adaptation.

I like concept of hero without a job (like in Yuushibu), so this will be on my watching list. I guess comedy will play a big part here, I hope for more hit than miss.

This seems to be strange, but interesting.I'm guessing that this will be comedy orientated with some drama mixed in.

The LN definitely and if the LN was shit a faithful adaptation was going to be shit anyways. I find the anime original to be a blessing.

A retirement for heroes?

This implies lots of fun for chuuni heroes but also issues PSTD for the edgy heroes.

Maybe the thread should be moved to OVA forum. Also, it's released this November (Fall 2016).
