I also think this is great series. It started off a little slowly (in fact I actually thought of dropping it after the 2nd ep). But it just got better, and better. I especially like the drama and character development bits in this.

It was a fantastic show. Like Speck123 I thought of dropping it early on just because the pacing was so slow. But the characters quickly became interesting.

I was disappointed in how they choose to end the series, however. I was confused by the flashback in that it came without explanation or context.

CDJapan is selling the uniforms for Kamizono Academy, apparently. Female only.

Finished this at last, and wow it's easy to be the best of the season, if not the whole year. No fancy animation, no "master pieces" plot, the drawing is not even good or consistent. Still it easily took the top in my list "slice of life" anime

Can't remember when was the last time that i feel so bad when finishing an anime. It was so enjoyable to watch that it's a shame if there's not gonna a season 2

Obviously Torako-san is my favourite character, and the ending wrapped up quite nicely, give me no disappointment at all (which is rarely happens since mid-2007).

11/10 no doubt

Hmm, no Torako or Ushio's songs(from their karaoke battle) in the OST...

The limited edition of volume 5 of the manga will bundle a DVD with an original animation story of 10 minutes length. Release date is October 12 (or 8 according to amazon.co.jp).

It's better then nothing, though a shame it's only 10 minutes.

This thread may have to be moved to Licensed. It's been streaming on Crunchyroll recently.

I'll forward the note. The whole Crunchyroll licensing protocol has been quite amateurish and sloppy in some regards.
(bleeped: see xris post below... existence on CR *is* considered being licensed, so if you see a series on CR listed here as fansubbed, please let a staffer know and provide linkage)

Since it is listed on the Crunchyroll Index of Anime then we would consider it licensed. Moving thread.

Crunchyroll don't seem to "announce" all their new series but even if they don't we would consider such series as licensed. Cheers.

Didn't know about this either until I read some unread CR email. Also did not see it on their news page.

Just FYI they are also showing the uncensored/unedited version. Members get the HDTV version uncensored as well (quality is nice but sucks ridiculous amounts of cpu).

I can't recall there being anything in Hyakko to be censored except a couple panty flashes. Was there an onsen episode I'm forgetting or something?

You're right, it's hardly noticeable. I think I gave the wrong impression. But a short scene in ep 9 when Ooba-san dropped her change was removed from the broadcast version.

Also I think I'm going to rewatch CR's version when they finish posting the eps because while SS did a great job, I think they got some of the puns wrong after comparing various bits with CR's

It did teach me about new desserts. Really short but sweet.

I just can't imagine eating all that. I'd need a gallon of coffee to wash it all down, and I'd still be worried about becoming diabetic!

Still, then ending seemed to imply there might be more to come. Any official word?

The OVA just made me that much more hungry for a sequel.

That weird airy atmosphere, the subtle sarcastic comments, the weird moé moments. Very Hyakko. And I'm sorta turned off from cakes from that OVA.
