That's pretty cool. I'm jealous now

Just saw OVA 5. Erwin + Yukari make a great pairing even the if first doesn't make for that much of a spy. Trying to pull the "these are not the droids you are looking for" move doesn't work for non jedi you silly

Thanks for the update and insight and to be honest, I thought the MK III desig was towards the Churchill...

HAHAHAHAHA! - Yes, Earl grey is a excellent tea btw...

So yes, I'd imagine a unit number is likely if it was an official build.

Sadly it looks like there's more text than just a simple 01 would account for, so it really could be anything the modeler thought of...

The show's logo, a slogan, unit identification that might have been printed on the actual tank...

Yes, I have and I actually have that issue, as well as many reference issues, as I can obtain...

The Churchill is pretty much - "easy to find" - and that project has already been completed, as here's my skin for it, as I also have it in the (plain) standard colourization.

Spoiler for Churchill skinjob:

I was thinking the same too, it maybe additions that were added by the modeller, but I still would like to know what those are, as I guess its become a challenge now to find it on the Cromwell...

LOOKING GOOD!

Its always a good thing to be creative, while saving cash to create something, that anyone else would have bought for a higher (inflated) cost. - I do the same thing too.. makes it more unique imo...

I also bought the 1st two patches as well, that one and the Black Forest Peak one, though I am awaiting the rest to be released, then I'll add them to a tankers jacket that I found at Ft. Bliss...

Its good to be retired, so much free time to enjoy the splendors of hobbies, animation, and spending..

THANK EVERYONE!

For assisting me in this search for the elusive, I'll keep looking, as I am bound to see it somewhere, sometime..

The thought of the History Club doing a Little Women skit cracks me up for some reason, ESPECIALLY when Erwin suddenly keels over playing Beth (Scarlet Fever doesn't work that way!).

Yeah, posted that in the previous page. Arina (I'm told it's supposed to be "Alena") seems to be the KV-2's commander, while Nina is one of the two loaders as implied by her conversation with Yukari.

I really want an OVA featuring short features of the side characters.

Are you sure? She complains about the manual traverse of the KV-2's large turret, so wouldn't she be the gunner going by the OVA?

The first thing she mentions about the KV-2 was that the shells were heavy. Though she does mention that the preparations for turning the turret are a pain, so it might be nebulous at this point.

Perhaps she started out as a loader and moved up to gunner.

If Girls und Panzer anime take a more serious route insted of fun and joy (Ex: The competition goal is to stay alive, use real ammo with no protection, the death happened. It's NOT for fun)

Do you think the anime's reception will be the same?, worst?, or better?

I'd say that the broad appeal that the show has will pretty much get blasted to smithereens, leaving it with a very limited demographic. We won't see the insane sales numbers for one.

Agreed, its target group will become more limited. Casual viewers will probably dislike it.

But again, shows that involve blood, violent scene and drama are always attract some people. If those people also like military story, the show may become popular in a different way.

However, if I have to choose, I will choose 'fun and joy' version over 'serious and Drama' version for sure

We'd see a decline. Things that take themselves seriously appeal to narrower spectrum of people (mainly, people who've more familiarity with what the subject is and/or like it serious). I'm sure at least one party might disagree, but consider that the light-hearted atmosphere and friendliness in the girls put the girls in Girls und Panzer.

At the risk of being ridiculed, I'm inclined to think that a serious version, if improperly executed, would feel like the campaign in Battlefield 3...

The way it is now is so bizarre that it works. It hit the right number of people at the right time to be successful. It seems to have similar number of sales to Space Battleship Yamato 2199, and I think possibly they have crossing demographics because I've seen a bunch of crossover artwork and videos. World War II style equipment in use with great music and interesting characters. Were can you go wrong?

I basically agree with the others that it will be a much narrower appeal. There is too much grimness in our world already. Let's just praise the Carbon and pass the non-fragmentating, enhanced blast Senshado ammo.

Besides, if they use real ammo with no protection, the hit rate will have to go down even further - otherwise, our heroines won't stay alive until the last battle (when it'll be "OK" for them to die).
