heh, IMHO Mikoto is definitely not fan-service for lolicon fans... more like fan-service for shotacon fans. well sometimes she looks like a shota, sometimes she looks like an animal..

Then again I'm probably better off not knowing...

Anyway, I'd agree that Mikoto isn't really a loli character, but if shotocon is what I'm thinking, I'd say that doen't quite apply either, despite her "feral' tendencies.

errrr, I'm not sure what you were thinking, anyway shota means a young boy... the male counterpart of loli... but then I guess Mikoto only looks like a shota very rarely, most of the time she is just like... well... a feline animal I guess... is there a term like "feline-animal-con"?

Kinda makes you wonder how messed up that guy is to get lured by Mikoto as the bait...

I voted for Natsuki... she's just so bad-ass. It's hard to decide though when you think about it, I really like most of them.

Natsuki, cos I like her personality most (she GETS THINGS DONE! and she is very professional, too!) and I like her character design (I personally prefer her hair to Never-Bending-Nike-Curl Mai's hair...) and I like her element (not the guns, I mean the element ice/water), and I like Duran (yes yes, puny compared to Kagutsuchi, but at least it doesn't wreck everything and is enough for Natsuki-sama if only she didn't get involved with all the other silly HiME in the school!

) and I like Duran's theme song (better than Kagutsuchi's...) and Duran's stock animation...

It'll be interesting to see how this pairs up with the poll on the Sunrise site for Mai-Hime. It's crazily rigged thoguh! I can't vote more than once a day but still, the votes change like *MAD*. I suppose this is so popular among Japanese fans that they make it a point to vote like mad and all of them thrown together would be quite a considerable force....

As of this post Natsuki is still tops with 3765 votes but 2nd is - of all people - Akira?! Whoa! With 3646 votes she's getting quite close... And after that we have Tate Yuuichi at 3404 votes (yay!) and only then Mai at 2593 votes. Shizuru needs to be up there more! Only 2518 votes?

This thing changes very fast, when I finished typing that paragraph it changed again.
