If you prefer any other interpretation, be my guest (I respect that translation as well, though we did not took the same preferences), but I don't think it is a great courtesy to slap out that without exactly knowing the work and choices behind that. Quote:

Hi hi!
I have been having some trouble downloading the Umineko Chapter 0-9 Patch.
I HAVE: The Umineko Episode 2 PC game Winzip Windows Vista I remember I think doing it before in the past with Chapters 0-2 by opening it in Winzip and then Extracting it and titling it "English," then afterwards move it into the Umineko game folder and play the Onscripter program from the "English" folder... It doesn't seem to work agian the same way anymore... Also I can post pictures if needed. Thankies. :3 |

Oyajitchi: did you move the folder name [WH] Umineko English INSIDE the patch?
Because many people didn't read the readme or didn't understand the instructions, instead of putting all files directly in a folder and zipping it, I created a subfolder inside it, so you simply open the folder, select the english folder and it is fine. Remember: the patch files MUST be in the direct parent directory of the game folder, so as a directory, it should be for example, "07th expansion\umineko2\[WH] Umineko English\Onscripter.exe", not "07th expansion\umineko2\????\[WH] Umineko English\Onscripter.exe". Also, there is no need to delete the previous patch folder, but it is indeed obsolete ad wasting space, so you can delete/overwrite the old patch with the new one.

Here are some of the problems I am currently having. I will post more pictures in time of needed, and I will check on what you said Klashikari agian just in case.
*Not good with Computers* Spoiler for Long Image:
Now the first pic is the whole thingy/patch in Winzip. The next picture shows what happens when you click extract....before actually extracting anything. Also I don't know if this has anything thing at all to do with it, but I have a Vista, so I have to set the onscripter to Windows XP settings. And another thing is I am using Megaupload. If you need anymore picures or anythign please reply. I am desperate to play the newly released chapters. >_O |

Where is the patch folder in your umineko 2 main folder?
I can see all folders originally from the game, but nowhere in the game folder. Basically, just put the folder containing the patch files to the main folder of umineko2. There isn't any problem with Vista, I had it tested with several persons with it, so it does work. It really looks like an issue of installation. Can you make a screenshot of where you put the patch folder?

Hmmm... Inside the winrar you have a folder named "[WH] Umineko1 v0.2", and inside that one, there's another folder named "[WH] Umineko English". This last folder is the one you should copy into the Umineko2 folder, not the folder that appears the first time you open the .rar archive. You probably shouldn't use the "extract" option as it is easier to just select the folder and drag it around.
I also have Vista. |

But to make things more easy...here is where I am at. But before I start I don't know if this is anything at all really but might as well say it,I went to properties of the onscripter program and made it compatible for Windows XP Service Pack 2. Now that that's out of the way here are the pictures of where I'm currently at: Spoiler for Winzip Image.:
The top picture shows the winzip screen when the patch is loaded and opened into...well Winzip. The picture below that is when I click Extract. I currently don't know where to Extract exactly though...my desktop perhaps? I have been extracting it into the Umineko 2 folder which contains the game. *New Picture* Spoiler for The Opening of the actual Patch:
Here is what I can't figure out. The pictures have text describing what is going on in the picture but if you need more information please feel free to tell me. Thankies. :3 |

That's really as I thought, Sterling01 confirmed what I suggested.
To explain further the trouble: In your Umineko folder, you indeed have a "english" folder, but what you didn't understand is the fact that the patch files (onscripter.exe, etc) MUST be in the direct sub directory. That means that when you open "english" folder, you are supposed to reach the patch files directly. In your case, it wasn't the case: when you open that folder, you reach a sub folder which contains the patch files. that's what i means with my directory issue your case: 07th expansion\umineko2\English\[WH] Umineko English\Onscripter.exe it should be: 07th expansion\umineko2\English\Onscripter.exe The names are irrelevant, but you must understand that the patches files cannot be in a folder of a folder. They must be the direct sub directory of the umineko game folder.
