Blair has been hanging around with Soul and Maka since their fight, probably because she likes her little 'scythe boy'. I don't think she works at the bar, but is seen there a few times with Death Scythe. Who, flirtatious twit that he is, doesn't mind in the slightest.

I had a question, but while writing one, it gave birth to some more. So here are the questions.
What is the difference between a weapons and weapon users. I can think of two possible reasons, it may either be a genetic difference (considering the clans), or a decision made after birth by choosing one of two. Considering that a weapon holder can born from a weapon's and weapon holder's marriage, it seems as if the ability appears at birth. But, if that is the case, are two sides expected to have similar levels of powers, or one side dominates the other, when both reach their maximum potential? The first time I heard its name, and the witch being added to it, the connection looked funny. Of course, this is for the translated portion. |

We don't yet know what makes one person a Weapon and another a Technician; some fans say it's genetic - you either inherit weapon genes or you don't, hence Maka being not a Weapon but a good Tech - others speculate that it's something chosen by the students.
It's said in the manga I think, that a Technician's wishes take precedent over a Weapon's when it comes to things like training (when Stein's training Soul and Maka), but in practice I think their power differs in type rather than strength; a Weapon provides physical strength as pointed out by Kid in ep.5. The main danger is, of course, that the Weapons have the ability and desire to consume souls which can lead to mistakes like what happened between Soul and Maka during the Free fight. Strength and resonance of wavelengths (which comes through understanding ones partner), seem to be key factors here. |
