Well, in an earlier episode, they were talking about the Garlock scene...

I will eventually, yeah. Right now I'm listening to other episodes to see if they have anything else interesting. It's not like it has anything particularly groundbreaking though, or else I would have summarized it already.

Hey, I love Viral, but what about Simon? What a depressing ending. He goes from being the guy who's drill will pierce the heavens to a nobody with nobody to love. Because the next generation is here! If Nia had to die, what about setting him up with Yoko? Seems about right. Spiral her young too, but the way she was in the first series with the chubby cheeks.

That was just depressing to me, I get that the series' theme is evolution and I agreed with almost everything apart from this one thing - I don't think it's always wrong to dwell on the past. Too often things change for the worse, even if things overall change for the better, there's still things we should take the opportunity to revive.

Like Simon being an awesome guy. Use Spiral pow0r to make him young again, and evolve Boota again, and they can pilot Gurren Lagann again together. The new generation can have a new mech. Though the Simon/Viral teamup was the most awesome thing ever too.

I still hope that the first part that we see of Simon versus the galaxy will be a future episode, because I just feel that he gave up at the end of the show.
