I have to admit...

Masamune is actually a decent teacher especially for the ladies. When teaching, of course I mean using a gun.

Throughout this last ep, I kept thinking "I want to see their reaction when it's revealed that Hotaru is a girl", especially Mattsun.

LOL at Yuki for calling Mattsun disgusting for crossing water guns.

And he misunderstood Hotaru, thinking Mattsun may be gay.

IMHO she won't be outed till very near to the end for dramatic impact, likely at the worse possible moment (like say in a repeat of what happened to the other girl...).

I don't know if it will be all the way at the end, but I do think that it will be at the worst moment and not by Hotaru's own will. I think actually it might be Midori who reveals it sometime during the tournament. He has to know she's female. He'll probably let it slip, not knowing that the others don't know. Something like, "I thought after the last time, you wouldn't have another one on your team. But I guess a dog like you, doesn't learn his lessons well the first time.", and then it will just degrade from there. Of course, this will put tension on the games, since they will have to not only deal with the fact that Hotaru didn't tell them the truth (putting a strain on the trust factor), but also the fact that "he" is actually a "she", which will kind of change Mattsun's entire way of looking at her.

Great episode, we finally get the info on why there not girls in the team. It look like Hotaru is thinking on revealing she a girl, but she scare to be throw out of the team, I can see things will be bad if she doesn't tell them soon.

Heh, "Cool ni ikou ze!"

Unlike a certain other Masamune, this one continues to not work for me, unfortunately. I'm not sure what's wrong with him, specifically... I still think that Maeno Tomoaki doesn't bring enough energy and charm to the character, but this kind of shows that the character is pretty uninteresting on his own, at least to me. Especially compared to Yukki and Hotaru, who both continue being really fun with their respective seiyuu doing a great job.

I did like the team's dark and angsty backstory with regards to women, though. "We used to have a girl on our team... until one day she was mercilessly murdered. By which I mean she got defeated in an unfair way which made her so bitter that she quit playing sabage."

I can totally see it happening this way. Madori was also wondering whether "he...will be there". But I think Hotaru will give him quite a surprise.

If not, then I will be disappointed.

At this stage I can totally see Nagamasa trying to "mercilessly murder" Hotaru just so he can rub it into Masamune's face again... only to find out that Mattsun had no idea she was a girl.

Oh obvious reveal is too obvious: Doctor dude reveals she's a girl at TGC. Tension happens with Hotaru, Masa and Yuki but they band together to fight off Doctor and his comrades. I kind of like Hotaru with Yuki though; they're cute together and he's such a big ol' weirdo anyway.

Although I doubt it will happen, I'd love to see Hotaru use the upcoming tournament as a chance to reveal that she's a girl. With the tournament so close, Mattsun will have no choice but to keep her on the team if he's wants Toy Gun Gun to compete. It's too late to find a replacement for her. During the tournament, I'd like to see Hotaru receive the same bullying as the previous girl except that Hotaru, of course, would have a very different reaction. After the tournament, regardless if they win or not, the 3 members of Toy Gun Gun can move forward without this secret hanging over them.

Honestly, Yukimura is right that Mattsun is pretending to be a sadist. On the other hand, I'm worried that Midori-san is gonna do the same thing to Hotaru just like last time, but far worse!

Toy Gun Gun is screw against Hoshishiro, specially since Midori know that Hotaru is a girl, so hegoing to use that to crush their hope.
I get the feeling that the match will get suspended since it seem literally a storm is coming in the preview.

Man, Midori is one dominant, sadistic guy. Without saying a word, Mattsun was falling apart. He calls him by his given name, demands he tell him what he's been doing and with who, and commands him with ease. He literally can control poor Mattsun without batting an eye. If it wasn't for Yuuki, I think Midori would have mentally torn Mattsun apart.

And then of course, there's the problem that Midori knows Hotaru is a girl. Which he can use to deadly effect when he needs to.

Nagamasa is so evil it's kind of hilarious, and aww Yukki is so protective of Mattsun. I didn't expect the two teams to meet right away, though, not when we're only halfway into the show... I guess that means Toy Gun Gun won't win, after all? Or some deus ex machina happens..
