Interesting episode. lots of dialogue so I'm a little lost in parts of it.
Saji's development this episode was brilliant as far as I'm concerned. Probably the best thing that could happen to him. Get him of his high horse. Though this possibly wasn't the best thing for kataron or CB. Although if saji is now helping CB this may make up for it. End battle was alright. But it seems that A-Laws are trying to avoid direct confrontation with CB atm. Probably a smart idea but we will see how it goes. I'm thinking we are going to see a trap set at some stage for CB. Soma get a decent bit of development too. After seeing the automated killing machines in action. I found it very interesting how she left lockon alone to deal out the damage to the bots. I'm also wondering if she will get pulled up about this later, and I'm also hoping this will have sowed the seeds of her switching sides later down the track. http://goodiemania.org/2008/11/gundam-00-season-2-ep-5/ Images ^^ -Goodie |

Saji's path to disaster...
Setsuna brought Saji to Kataron to leave him in their care.
Saji fails to pick up on why Setsuna fights and decides to try to leave. A dumb guard decides to give Saji keys to a car to get to the local town. Saji just happens to cross paths wth Sergei's Fed ship. (nice scene). Saji doesn't say anything (he's not that dumb I guess) until his biometrics lookup come back. Hooray for modern technology. Saji denies being part of Kataron and gets punched. Sergei takes over. Considering Saji was last scene on Proud and that Saji doesn't have the eyes of a solider, Sergei suggest Saji's with Celestial Being, which Saji also denies. But Sergei thought that too - he just wants to find out what happened to Saji... who sees a chance to get back to a normal life. One the guards (the one who punched Saji I think) overhears all this and goes running to A-LAWS. A-LAWS immediately plan an attack. Sergei punches the soldier who went running to A-LAWS - it was his decision to inform A-LAWS. Sergei tells Saji to leave ASAP now that A-LAWS have been informed. Sergei doesn't have the authority to go up against them. Saji worries that if A-LAWS were told about him, then maybe... cue him seeing the GN particles from the A-LAWS MS squad. Saji sees plumes of smoke in the distance. Saji orz. "Because I spoke about them? It can't be! (uso daaaa)" PS With Louise heading for the area (sooner or later), how long until Saji and Louise will be able to accidentally bump into each other?

aww man saji really fucked up I guess the real deal start from here since all the character have been introduced (except for patrick but I don't really care). I really like it when marina showed her motherly side but it immediately being counter by A-Laws massacre (I definitely blame saji here). definitely take me back when they show all the kiling and destruction of azadistan. I just hope saji really changed his point of view if not somehow I really feel like trolling him. well the destruction of azadistan definitely kill all the option for setsuna to leave "his life that only know how to fight"

Kinda for dramatic effect, but it's almost as if Ali was waiting for Setsuna to arrive. Maybe Ribbons informed him. Setsuna's going to be really angry now. But, Ali could drive a wedge between Setsuna and Marina by mentioning Setsuna's past.

But yes, she's very different now. I don't think she was exactly "heartless" before (naive more like) but is certainly much more fair-minded now. At the end, she is almost trying to force herself to become heartless. Going to be interesting to see her and Louise meet. I suspect Louise will be far more gung-ho... and might remind Soma how she used to be.

It couldn't be! one of the child guerrillas! Or some such? I'll have a look later at any rate. Oh, and in order for ali to mention their past don't they need to talk? As it stands I think if they were that close setsuna would shoot ali rather than talk to him... -Goodie |

Don't want to come off as heartless by saying that, though i wanna see the two progress together, and a change like that would send them in the right direction.

eventhough massacre scene were pretty usual in the anime. is it just me or anyone feel sick in the stomach seeing that automaton killing people. perhaps that's because the contrast side that they show in the episode. Marina scene with all the chidren (healing type) and then suddenly bam argh uuh all the screaming. a country being burn, evil twisted looking gundam. not to mention the meister battlecry especially Lyle. Kind of bad for my stomach
PS: and congratulation Saji you made your character as the new @$$ replacing Lyle (In fact I started to like him) |
