I know it's reference to something, but can't point finger of what...

Not sure if you're serious here, but if you are it's the DBZ fusion dance.

Well, I do know Fusion dance but, I was never able get past original DB (it wasn't my thing), soo I never get to see it's origin on my own eyes.

Anyway thanks.

Just a question because I plan to watch this soon.

Do I need to watch the Arrow, Flash, etc to understand this series better or can I watch it as a standalone? I've watched some episodes of both series before though but haven't kept up with them this year.

It's not like you can't watch it alone, but Flash /Arow establish all characters of Legends (bar Rip Hunter), provide backstories and overall settings.

Plus if Legends will follow same pattern as other two, you can expect two (maybe three now) crossover episode arc where each of episide will be in different show.

So I would at least recommend watch Arow/Flash first.

Hell, this week's episode is, in a twisted sort of way, a crossover with Arrow.

Old man Oliver. He even has the goatee and missing arm from The Dark Knight returns comic.
And then there's Green Arrow 2 and Deathstroke 2.
Spoiler for Real identities:

Yeah, this week's episode was heavily Arrow-focused...although I don't get why Leonard didn't want to stick around with Mick - they're both criminals in the best possible world for them. Even if the rest of the team goes back and changes the future, that possibility cannot be erased, since time is not linear (don't they teach them anything at Time Master Academy?) so what's with the whole "we gotta save the world" thing, I don't get it.

I presume his sister is the reason. No telling if she's even alive in that world. His actions so far have been to try and turn things around for himself and his sister. So he technically does have to save the world to keep things secure for her.

That's the line between him Mick. Mick doesn't care about much of anything except enjoying himself. There is no one he wants the world to be saved for.

I'm sure Snark figures that once Savage is dealt with he can get back to his regular life of crime. He doesn't need a world as chaotic as the one they landed in.

As much as Snart may like causing trouble and following his own rules, even he doesn't seem fond of that world. Probably because there is nothing but chaos there and Snart does have a sister he wants to look out for. If he stays there Vandal is free to cause as much destruction as he wants. He may also like the idea of being a legend that was known to have saved the world.

How the heck did Stein take out a trained pirate by himself? Even if he did get the jump on him, it shouldn't have been that simple.

Under normal circumstances Sara should have been wiping the floor with Mick, but she was at a disadvantage here, so I can accept her losing.

Despite what the show wants us to believe, I highly doubt that Snart actually killed Mick.

Taking Gideon's inventor into consideration...yes. It's still a low point for A.I. to be unable to save the lives of the crew because of some rigid protocol set by Hunter.

By nature military craft couldn't be be able perform their duty with "Three laws". It might be possible have some alternatives to these, but captain word/security protocols have to be prioritized.

Well, this show will at the very least have 2 seasons since it was renewed (along with Flash and Arrow).

Wow, these last two episodes have actually been good, especially this most recent episode (directed by the great b-movie director Joe Dante). What a pleasant surprise. Here's hoping this is the start of a trend.
