Ep.08, first half:

Spoiler:

- First scene is a flashback to L-Elf's past in Dorssia, back to when he was a prisoner trying to escape a snow-covered complex. While trying to bail out, he stumbled onto the Princess (Licht) who was wandering around and threatened to kill her if the guards pursuing him did not back off.
- End flashback. L-Elf wakes up strapped to a bed with the other students peering over him. Raizo is particularly pissed off. L-Elf mentions Haruto's contract.
- OP rolls in.
- Saki is humming at a shrine on top of a hill.
- Haruto is appraised of Aina's demise by Kyuuma (who gives Haruto Aina's broken glasses), who's understandably quite pissed and soon breaks down.
- Once again, pissed off Raizo is pissed off.
- In space (wait a minute, I forgot the ENTIRE cast was already in space), A-Drei is giving Cain his report.
- Simultaneously, the Dorssian crew is busy repairing H-Neun's Ideal, while Kriemhild is being impatient/suspicious/unsure about Cain's behavior
- Shouko unties the still bound Akira. Satomi tries to coax Akira out and his litterally kicked out by her (much to his consternation - though this might have smth to do with Shouko's presence in Akira's little hideout)
- Haruto is setting out in the Valvrave; once again there's talk about human "monsters" and stuff
- Pissed off Raizo is pissed off
- Conciliating Satomi is conciliating
- Alarm is being alarming and Haruto takes off in VVV

--- Missed some scenes here to a very annoying relative who just can't leave me alone, but it looks like a Dorssia commando (led by A-Drei) is infiltrating/invading Module 77

Ep.08, second half:

Spoiler:

- Full fledged attack on Module 77; Dorssia repeats sticky chaff attack on both Valvraves
- Huh? When did Dorssia land destroyer ships (yes, as in "floating on water" ships) inside M77's lake/artificial sea? Anyway, the ships are firing shells at the school
- Aggressive Raizo is being aggressive
- Both Valvraves are struggling outside the module
- Kyuuma gets shot in the shoulder by Dorssian commandos beneath the school
- Aina's Newtype ghost flashes in front of Haruto's face
- Satomi grabs Raizo's rifle and threatens to kill L-Elf, but Shouko stops him
- Both Valvraves are caught by the Ideals' remote-controlled claws
- Haruto incites the bound L-Elf to work for them (ROFL the straps weren't holding him down AT ALL), which he agrees to ("Yume...")
- Valvraves extract themselves from Ideal claws, while L-Elf rushes through base corridors, gunning down Dorssia infiltration troops
- Haruto charges up his rifle, while the Valvrave gauge skyrockets
- He shoots at the colony's underside, puncturing the LAKE...which A-Drei and his ships are floating on, btw...which means that the destroyers are practically foundering in a man-made maelstrom; additionally the water rushing into space is helping the Valvraves cool down
- Counter ticks ever closer to 666
- L-Elf flies out in a Splicer fighter, buying Haruto some time
- Level 666, Harakiri time
- L-Elf ejects from his Splicer, while Haruto pulls a 00 Raiser Sword and slashes several Dorssian ships to smithereens
- L-Elf drifts in space, his oxygen levels dangerously close to zero
- Flashback to the prisoner escape standoff; Princess absolves L-Elf in front of the pursuers, cuts her hair with L-Elf's little weapon (Licht's own hair pin) and offers it to him
- Haruto grabs L-Elf (L-Elf: "Keiyaku doori")
- Back in his ship, Cain looks at pictures of the Valvraves sill in development
- He has a VVV triangular sign/stigmata on his neck! So he IS involved with the darn project
- ED rolls in

Spoiler for Episode 8:

What an excellence of an episode! It's pretty much confirmed that Aina is officially dead, I thought they gonna revive her but sadly that was not the case. In order words, L-Elf have a dark past involving the lavender-haired loli known as "The Princess of Light" and I'm pleased that Aki Toyosaki is bringing her adorably serene voice. I'm happy to see the pilots wearing the top-class suits, and L-Elf gets controlled by Haruto. It seems that based on the ending sequence, there's a sequence that implies a experiment that was intended to be VVVII. Too bad Satomi's sibling relationship with Akira doesn't look very good, and having the brother killed will more than likely drive Akira screaming in pain. Next episode probably confirms that Kyuuma will pilot a Valvrave, and L-Elf will have his own impression of everyday school life. As a whole, I am glad to find a mecha show that's easy to enjoy, with the usual aspects I like very much in anime, and I hope it ends on a satisfying manner, though I'm going to end worrying a lot since I love the cast!

Valvrave is enjoyable in the wrong way.

L-Elf is the best. I don't know how they keep coming up with ways to re-assert that each time but they do and I hope they keep it up because it's amazingly entertaining to watch. There were loads of other stuff that happened as always including another REVELATION at the end but dammit, all I can think of is ERU ERUFU right now. L-Elf, please marry me.

Valvrave is the best entertainment of the season.

I think Valvrave 3 is also showing up next episode, the title is "Dog and Thunder".

It's a good thing I love L-Elf's mannerisms enough to let some of the ridiculously "badass" things he does slide.

And while I am usually loathe to go here so quickly this Lieselotte princess looks like she's being set up with a huge death flag. Given how important she seems to be to L-Elf and how confidant he is in things going as planned.

Me neither, but I guess it fits her personality. She's kind, but quite the weirdo. Her reaction to being held hostage was rather unusual. But I guess that's because L-Elf looked like a scared puppy rather then someone who could endanger her safety.

-Opens with L-11's angsty past coupled with heartfelt violin music. Btw, I told you she wasn't his sister.

-"Then make me a man!" lololol

(-so uh, if Dorssia is supposed to be German-speaking and Jior Japanese-speaking, then why does every machine/etc. have an English language interface? I know I shouldn't think too deeply about this...)

-Akira spoke!!! o___o) Poor Satomi.

-I love Satomi more and more each episode. This ep had the concerned brother, reasonable superior, and uh, not-so-reasonable superior who nevertheless had a plan. That wouldn't have worked, but still, it's the intent that counts?

-I bet Thunder's respect for Satomi shot up with 2000% after he saw Satomi threaten L-11.

-By the way I totally ship them now. (I mean Thunder and Satomi.)

-First ham and eggs, now coffee. This is so beautiful. Also, is it just me or did it totally sound like a proposal? (Haruto x L-11? Oh~)

-By the way, we have some pretty sweet action scenes this week.

(-so, uh, what's going to happen to their water supply...? OK I know I shouldn't think too deeply about it)

-"the CM is over, I'm back on the stage!" LOLOLOL

-CAIN IS A SPACE VAMPIRE. AWESOME.

-"I can hear the wedding bells... our bride..."
I don't know who wrote this line but I want to buy them a beer or something. Awesome. Keep feeding Cain more of these.

Next episode: "Dog and Thunder" - so Kyuuma & Thunder will get their VVVs after all?

Forgot to add: the last scene between Haruto and L-Elf was just simply, honestly great.
