^That might be a spoiler... anyway. I remember that this arc had funny moments so I'm looking forward to that, and I'm also a bit concerned about how the character will be animated. If you compare first season with second season's OP that's like 2 different World God Only Knows. I hope they find a compromise inbetween or the whole point of one of the character's "flaws" would be pointless (imo).

OK the thing with the ecosystem was overplaying the metaphors now. They should have cut to the chase with the crows surrounding the house and Elsie calling him Kamineeto-sama. It's like they try to deepen the atmosphere where there isn't even supposed to be anything to begin with. And then the first scene of the episode makes that certain chapter even less likely to be animated, even though Haqua still appeared at the end of the last episode!
Elsie and Ayumi stole the episode for me, but I would have liked it better if they had at least added half of the next chapter to this episode. 7/10

Finally an episode faithful to the manga...
Except the 60 000 revelation, the spontanous garden and Chihiro getting an upgrade in bust size. This making her a more generic character, moe-wise. Animation and visuals were fine, sometimes very good. BGM fitted perfectly. The ending also was interesting, everyone giving up Keima at his desmise. It made the reapparence of Ayumi even more significant. They apparently go for three episodes (2.5 ? ), with the fall of a god, the failure of a god and the promise of a god. I'm fine with that, since it should give a nice cliffhanger for the first two. Nice addition: Keima-snoopy playing a pfp. Kami a in a nushell.

Of course, I'm really disappointed by the fact that they skipped the chapter 27. They changed a bit the beginning of the episode because of this. But, for the rest, this time I liked the adaptation. They kept all the parodic and funny scenes (like Keima in Snoopy-mode), and this is very important to me. I would have prefered if Chihiro was less cute, like in the manga, though. She is special because she is an absolutely ordinary girl, and, just for this, the most realistic one.
Overall, this episode was funny almost like in the manga. I hope they will keep this kind of direction, but I doubt it, considering their tendence to the drama. P.S. I love Chihiro. ^__^ |

Now I'm annoyed they skipped Haqua report They where following pretty much dead on in season 1. They should not have changed that fact. |

Can this show get any better??? Such a great epi, especially the Peanuts reference!
Great to find Keima's weakness is an ordinary girl like Chihiro, but is she that ordinary? Isn't the girl who helped him before the credits the track n field girl from s1?

I love Haqua as much as the next guy, but chapter 27 really was more of a throw away then anything. They do fine by having Elsee convey the same information at the beginning of this episode anyway.
Also, I don't know how many times I can say it but this has been of the best god damn adaptations I've ever watched period. Hell, I would easily recommend this to people interested in the show over the manga at this point. It's the little touches and use of creative freedom that I'm falling in love with, like the changing of the seasons in front of his room. That shit had grinning like a moron. On top of which they still directly bring in gags and the like from the manga too. Shit, they did such a good job with the dramatic tone when Keima and Elsee were consoling Chihiro that I got sucked in so hard that I forgot that it didn't really bother her to begin with. <3

That was fun, looks like Chihiro will be tough but that makes it so much better.
So happy to see Ayumi back! I think she is the first one from old conquers to appear on screen again... She still is my fave of the girls even though she only had one episode. Though her attitude seems different, as far as I remember in season one she basicly stomped on him without much regrets and now she is the one to come and help.

kami-sama beaten by real girl XD his emotion was thrown into trash bin.
Chihiro.... turns a lot cuter in this episode. Lots of cameo and parody the most noticeable for me is Takao of D-Frag are they trying to make a debut of her. Then there is a came for a light novel girl though her face wasn't shown unlike Takao. Kami turn into croach and can't talk straightly to an aggressive girl.

Sigh... I admit I wanted the Haqua report scene, but I thought it was fine the way they did it.
Until they spent all that time on the four seasons outside Keima's door... They cut out more Haqua for this??? Oh well, at least it was nice to see Ayumi come back into the picture again.
