With that, the Administrator proceeds to Mind-wipe Kirito.

This triggers another set of routes. Suguha (or a second iteration of the route with a more romantic focus) , Sinon, Yuuki (there are subtle inconsistencies) , Yui (mindscrew route), Alice, Ronnie (chronologically, the latest, calender wise) and finally Asuna II. As early as the Yuuki route, hints towards the second layer of the secret of the Simulated Reality.

At the end of the Asuna II route, you learn that

You aren't just Kirito's fluctlight copy, you are the manifestation of the Administrator himself. The whole place is nothing more than a place for A.I socialization, much like the Underworld is used to develop A.Is. There are several mysteries whose answers are only hinted at:

- Why did the Admin wipe his own memories, if Kirito was the unknowing Admin? (Ie: the Admin was his "subconsciousness", that's also some how also embedded in the system. )

- Why are the Mind states of the A.Is being manufactured being patterned after People that Kirito knew about?

-What about those whose Mind-states ought to be irretrievable, like Yuuki and Saachi, since they died before Mind-states could be recorded? (Are they nothing more than dreams, or is there something else going on here? If both routes are especially quite mystical in nature, it'll serve to fuel the ambiguity)

- Also, there's the issue of Death and Resurrection. Isn't this mental necromancy? It's alluded to at the later loops of the Second set of routes.

- Why is the Administrator using Kirito? Who is the Administrator? Is it an A.I, or a full human in his own right? What are his emotions?

- Why does Asuna and Suguha appear twice, both routes having different focuses, and their second routes taking place chronologically after the time their first route is supposed to take place? Are this the same Asuna's and and Suguha's, or another copy of A.Is literally of the same model and Fluctlight template?

- Finally, what year is it outside, and what's the state of the world? Again, this might be alluded too, especially towards the end, but there's no actual, definite answer. Just hints.

And so ends my proposal for a VN Style story to the SAO world with Kirito as the protagonist, that is also set in the SAO world itself, at some undetermined date after Underworld.

Holy hells. That is Inception-tier mindfuckery.

Would be interesting to see how it plays out. Go for it!

Coincidentally, I've recently wondered to myself what would it be like if Kirito fought Smough and Ornstein... I don't think I've fought a pair of bosses with more bromance than Fatboy and Slim over there...

I had a random idea, seeing as SAO is going to be released as a PSP game, featuring Asuna, Silica, and somehow Lyfa as playable characters, here are some other ideas for unlockable characters I'd add to an SAO game.

Sachi:

Kirito will express shock upon meeting her, believing her to be dead, as will Kayaba, who will of course have access to the game records. Sachi herself will not know exactly how she survived, only that after she was "killed", she found herself on the 76th floor of Aincrad.

Favored Weapon Class: Spear/Polearm

Some weapon ideas:
various spears, halberds, naginatas, scythes etc

Hasta Magica: A replica of a Kyouko Sakura's spear from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Can go into "chain whip mode".

Black Avenger: Sachi's ultimate weapon, a murderous looking polearm with a black-painted blade with a long blades similar to a Japanese spear or yari on top, and four curved blades, two on either side (the five blades representing the five members of the Black Cats of the Full Moon who died in SAO canon).

Attacks:

Claw of the Black Cats: rapid 5-strike slashing attack, cuts a "claw mark pattern" in the target.

Vengeful Spirit: An ultra high speed forward thrust with her spear, creating a "phantom afterimage".

Beyond the Grave: Sachi seems to rise up out of the ground below the target, launching them into the air and impaling them on the point of her spear.

Vengeance from Beyond: Ten shot slash and stab combo, ends by knocking the target to the ground and impaling them.



Coming soon, my ideas for Sinon and possibly Yui.

Chapter 2 features a few scenes that are original or somewhat original to this fanfiction, and it emphasizes Asuna's relationship with Kirito as well as some of her character development from her perspective.

Every Breath of Mine Is Yours (or possibly A Tale of Revenge)

This is another AU Sachi revenge fic, also something of a songfic as the title (both possible titles, the other one is a line from the song.) and to a lesser degree the fic itself is inspired by the song "A Tale of Revenge" by the Viking metal band Ensiferum. Link to Youtube of song here.

The story centers around a Keita (Black Cats of the Full Moon leader) who did not commit suicide after the death of his guild. Instead, he suspects long before Kirito that Akihiko is somewhere in the game and resolves to become the strongest player in the game, and kill Kayaba Akihiko. After months of constant level grinding, Keita achieves this, having switched to a single-handed longsword from his previous staff.

Then, on Christmas Eve, things get darker.

Like in the canon, Kirito defeats Nicholas the Renegade, this time aided by Keita, but finds out the Divine Stone of Returning Soul can only be used within ten seconds of a player's death. In this AU, Sachi never sent Kirito that timed message crystal, so Kirito, despairing over Sachi's death, commits suicide, in effect trading places with Keita

Now a high-level clearer, Keita travels forth into the darkest reaches of Aincrad, armed with a mysterious unique skill, "Dual Blades" and his two swords, "Adjudicator" and "Dark Avenger", he is also in posession of Sachi's spear, which he uses as a javelin with his high blade-throwing level.

Are there any Fanfic's that're set in Gun Gale Online? Because I've got an idea for a fanfic. A crossover to be exact.

But it's going to be set in the Gun Gale Online portion of the franchise. And the character I have in mind does seem to meet GGO's "parameters". Well, as far as I read so far in the Phantom Bullet Arc.

(I'm currently on Vol. 6 of the Light Novels).

Thanks for that. I just finished reading the Phantom Bullet Arc, and I still have some questions about Gun Gale Online's "Parameters", or weapon loadout to be exact. It said that a character can have at least:

1 Sidearm
1 any rifle-size or larger gun

*As for Kirito's case, he went for a Photon Sword over a rifle-size or larger gun.

Now what about grenades? It's shown that players can have and use grenades. But here's my question about them. Do they have their own "slot" or not, in Gun Gale Online?

It's actual name is "Photon Sword" in the Light Novels when Kirito first found it in the equipment shop in Gun Gale Online.

In the corner of a long showcase, something that was clearly different from a gun, a few metal, tube-like objects were lined up.

They were three centimeters in diameter and around twenty-five centimeters long. On one side, a metal fixture like a mountaineering carabiner hung down, on the other side was slightly thicker and in the center, there was a black hole like some kind of discharge opening.

"Umm... What is this?"

Hearing me, the girl gave a fleeting glance and shrugged as if there was a kink in her shoulders.

"Ah... That is a 'Kouken'."

"Ko-Kouken?"

"Bu-But, even though your evasion skills are amazing, against a full auto gun... ah."

While the girl had not yet finished speaking, with my finger, I pressed on the one with a metallic black hue coating that I liked. I selected [BUY] from the choices in the popup menu that appeared and with great speed, an NPC salesperson rushed over and with a smile, presented a metallic panel like object. I realized that the green surface scanner in the middle of the board was the same as the cashier in the earlier game and pushed on it with my right palm.

The sound effect of the cash register chimed happily, and the panel showed a black photon sword appearing with a *fuun* sound effect. I took it, and the shop attendant said 'thank you for your patronage~' and bowed before returning back to its position.

With the focus on evasion, Kirito practices the Makashi form of photon sword combat, but which means he will eventually upgrade to Soresu. I know what my OC be rolling when he reaches GGO.

The temptation of pulling SWTOR into GGO is growing...

I need to know this for sure so the character(s) I have in mind for the crossover idea can fit into Gun Gale Online's "parameters".

My original crossover was supposed to be with the Killzone series; Mael Radec being in Gun Gale Online. But after watching the Killzone campaigns, I think it's better to just scrap the whole thing.

I got another crossover idea in mind, but I need to know about the grenades in Gun Gale Online first...
