The australian classifcation board is notorious for releasing information about games before they are meant to, and in this case a new persona has popped up indicating it is on the PS3.

What indicates that this is not a classic PSN release of Persona 1, is that the listing should have been for PS3/PSP, but instead only the PS3 is listed. Another indication is that Atlus USA is doing the publications, this is totally new because Ubisoft and THQ have previously done Persona 3 and 4 respectively.

If this is not a new Persona perhaps this might at least be a compilation HD pack, like the God of War pack.

Only time will tell I suppose.

Thoughts?

EDIT: the Website has updated and corrected the platform to PSP instead of PS3, meaning it's more than likely an Australian late release of Persona 1.

I'm hoping that it's P5, since I'd rather not have another rendition of P3, and P4 doesn't really need a remake either. Though, if they remade P2, I'm sure fans would be happy. I'd rather see that on Psp though, since I like portable games =D

I wouldn't hold my breath, since this is only an extremely vague source from an australian website with nothing else to back it up. And it says PSP not PS3.

Obviously Persona 3 Portable. Not to be assuming but it is coming out for North America, which means it must be coming out for Australia as well.

BTW, it's definitely Persona 1 remake. The classification board also now lists both the PS3 (ie. PSN) and PSP.

:sigh: Time to go back prepping for anime north. Only stopped because it was Persona related, but bah... got my hopes up for nothing.

Chances of getting a new Persona game within the next two years are slim, Atlus is focusing attention over a widespread area right now so the Shin Megami Tensei franchise has been slightly nudged to the side for the moment.

The website only updated to PSP last night, must have been an error. Before then it read PS3.

There is a Persona 5 game being made now, though, but we don't know the platform yet.

Perhaps the ps3 will take the Persona series on :\ I hope they don't do crossplatforming... I personally like Exclusives!

I doubt they would remake 1 on the ps3, I do not think they will release P2 on the psp anytime soon either...
