Im guessing they used the same movement instructions and just subbed in the new objects. If you look at GS34, and then at GSD10, they arent just creepily similair, they are exactly the same. This is being done a lot in this series (I dont mind it, I just laugh when It happens).

mia is copy of lacus
shinn is cry baby copy of kira
captain Talia glady is copy of maria vernes
i can go on and on, it could fill up A4 page.
why dun we call it gundam seed copy.

Currently I too like Mia over Lacus, if only because of one scene where

she said "Lacus is always needed by everyone, she's strong, beautiful and kind, while Mia is not that needed by anyone, so I'm happy that I can help the chairman and everyone as Lacus"

if she's not faking that scene, that means she willingly sacrifices her own identity to help everyone and prevent the war, while in comparison, Lacus stays away on an island not really doing anything despite her power and influence. that's definitely one point for Mia over Lacus IMO

if she's faking everything, that means she's super evil, manipulative and good at acting, as capable as, if not more so than, the real Lacus. So it becomes EVIL Goddess Mia vs. good Goddess Lacus, and since EVIL > good, all hail to EVIL Goddess Mia

oh, and there's the bonus that she doesn't say those annoying "ara ara" all the time...

BTW, nice to hear Kira saying more lines before the OP

Am I the ONLY one that really wants Kira to have a huge role, because techically he still has the freedom gundam...

I dunno Gundam Seed D doesn't really feel like Gundam Seed without kira playing a larger role...

personally, I want to see more of both Kira and Lacus in Destiny.

Real Lacus may very well have stayed on Plant and kept promoting peace if it were not for Kira. She loves his dumbass too much.

Agreed. And here I thought the old Haros were bad, but I think there should be a permanent injunction against any of athrun's creations (or derivative works) speaking engrish.

I wonder what they'll do with that Haro when GSD gets licensed and dubbed? what will it speak on CN? french?

NO,NO!Shin will NEVER die!How could the story proceed if the main protagonist dies?I believe we can come back to Shinn very quickly.Originally,DESTINY has two main characters,Shin and Athrun.The first several episodes belong to Athrun to let him realize he should return to fight for peace,then undoubtedly Shin's story is going to begin to show how he grows up through varieties of battles.

Well, this is Gundam Seed DESTINY, not Gundam Seed. So its not supposed to feel like Gundam Seed. It's like saying that Gundam ZZ is supposed to feel like Z Gundam... It just doesn't work that way.

I don't really think Mia is a lot prettier than Lacus....for some reason, in this episode her eyes were way too big and didn't look pretty like Lacus's. Either that or the animation has degraded tremendously. Coulda sworn that those eyes were made to look ugly....

the funniest part of this episode is definitely the Chairman and Athrun cosplaying Lacus and Kira when giving away a super secret MS

Kinda wonder if the Athrun saving Minerva with Saviour scene will be a cosplay of Kira saving Archangel with Freedom one

Well...technically Kira IS still the supreme/ultimate coordinator. And he also has the most powerful gundam still (Freedom, as it is nuclear powered)...

I dunno I just hope Kira will have a large role somewhere, because he seems to be the most um hmmm...well I don't have a word to describe it...but it's something with his character.
