Nah... the only filler was the introduction of some side-story with that featured a character from Nu-13@BlazBlue and in order to squeeze it in the episode they had to narrate a swimsuit episode

Two takeaways from this first episode:

1) WWII would have apparently been way more adorable if France had conquered Germany
2) M summons her little light balls with the same sound effect as the "level up" ding from EverQuest, which 15 years later, still activates some Pavlovian pleasure center in my brain.

The show is really pretty, and i kind of like the hero.
Show does seem very haremy, which I'm not super crazy about. If even one other male character was there that was interesting, it'd be better. Lots of harems this season.

Action is nice though.

Yes she is and now I have to start writing again once the it`s up and sem break.

IS became one of my picks when I first started it back on the 2011 Winter Anime Season. Time sure flies fast, since it's been 2.5 years elapsed from the end of the first season to the start of the current one.

Pretty much the gang is quickly re-introduced, although Ichika starts to get on my nerves with his thickheadedness. I do understand that the writers have to portray him sexually oblivious to the girls for the sake of preserving the harem trope. Otherwise, if Ichika should start pick favoritism upon one out of the five girls in particular, then the whole harem trope is defeated and broken.
However, another solution to preserve the harem device could be for Ichika being proactive and dedicate his time with each one of the girls separately.

Another unfair thing is that Charlotte and Laura are able to kick ass onscreen with no need of using their respective IS, while the rest of the girls: Houki, Cecilia, and Ling are pending to do the same with no need of their IS. Well, it's only S2 first episode, hence, there's plenty time and room left for the other girls to shine.

As for the mysterious girl M, I won't comment due to the possibility of spoilers. So, I will ask any fan out there who is knowledgeable on the light novels please DO NOT spoil me on her. Otherwise, I will have to report you to the mods.

I liked the air dance. Good enough to re-watch a couple of times. But I don't like the increased slapstick moments in this season.
