Episode 22, or 21 for the Remaster. He was getting the ZAFT-made sonar system to work with the EA-made Archangel. That's not a case of hacking, but a case of writing a driver for the system.

Giggity.....

But, is the budget for animating new scenes for the remaster seriously going to fan service?

So far Seed remaster> Destiny remaster. At least we got more meaningful new scenes vs panty shot and mostly exposed boobs....

Orb had nothing to do with any of the AF mobile suit development. Their only contribution was providing the place/resources as well as helping with the development of the Archangel.

They had to steal the technology to build the Astrays.

There's no shot of the Freedom firing in Shinn's flashback.

It's either because:
  • Of episode runtime purposes, or...
  • To make Kira more innocent

It's likely the former, given that the death-by-crossfire was restored in the TV Movies. Or, they're trying to leave it deliberately unclear on who fired first.

It's the same as the original.

Freedom/Calamity crossfire in ep 1, Calamity only in flashback.

There was never a retcon here, it was just cut for time, or they never really cared who fired in the first place.

If it WAS a retcon, they'd have cut Freedom out of the remastered ep 1 and they didn't.

Shinn never saw either mobile suit that fired the shot anyway; he had his back turned while he was down the hill.

Oh i know. People just like to use that as evidence of "Kira is a big hypocritical liar! He kills people all the time! Look at how he blew away Shinn's family with his carelessness!"

i totally agree with you so far the only new animated scene that i remember was in episode 1. it was when the gaia cut a MS in half i don't remember where in the episode though. Hopefully they will start do new animations for when the series gets around the destiny gundam area lots of cool stuff can happen there.

Those people are not that intelligent to put it nicely. I think they are confusing Seed/Destiny with AGE. Kira isn't Kio Asuno....

We all know Kira is willing to kill when absolutely necessary( Calamity, Rau, and Gilbert until Rey shot him). He just wants to avoid it at all costs. Especially grunts that are just following orders.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate next weeks fan service( the mostly exposed boob is more meaningful fan service than Luna's panty shot, IMHO). But, I am disappointed so far in the lack of new battle scenes. Unless they are avoiding what happened with Seed's remaster where the new scenes stopped after the Orb battle.

Yeah and all the people that died when Kira shot the Minerva's positron cannon.

And I guess I should clarify that technically, it was Athrun that ultimately finished off the Calamity, but give Kira partial credit for setting up the move.

Kira also killed a ship full of people with the METEOR's beam sword in the last battle. He also likely caused numerous deaths when he shot a ship with the SF's railguns in its debut, and then massacred the weapon systems on it.

It's pretty much impossible to disable a ship without casualties.

Still he could have just outright destroyed them.

Near impossible

Full Frontal was doing quite a good job of taking out everything on the Nahel Argama without directly hitting the ship (everything he shot was at an angle to avoid the main body, excluding of course the MS, and the left catapult/launch deck which is devoid of people)

But then again we are talking about the Red Comet so I guess your point still stands since nobody in CE got Char's skills :P

I'm not the biggest fan of the lead characters in Destiny but we had some pretty good pilots that could give Char a run for his money.

How? Kira stabbed the Destroy when it's beam weapon is about to be fired. That caused explosions that protruded into the cockpit which fatally injured Stella.
