Is there some kind of gap in chapter 7? Cato & Lelei could understand japanese (wyvern and age question), is there some magic for communication?

The soldiers were studying and using a phrasebook before, so I'm guessing no magic. Just good old language learning and translation convention (OUR HERO! is already speaking their language fairly well in the wyvern question, if we go by the different font, and I'm guessing they are also using their language in the name-and-age interview when addressing the refugees).

At least I'm guessing they'll finish the first volume, since they have it properly scanned. So unless you want to skip to vol. 2/ch.11...

Here's the index. The first volume ends with chapter 9 (not 10), so from ch. 10 on it's still viewable online.

If you want me to send you ch. 8 and 9... it would have to wait a bit. I've blown my monthly mobile data cap downloading the new chapters, so my phone company has sent me back to the modem age (luckily they don't make me pay extra). Any uploads or heavy downloads will require a 20 min. drive to a decent internet connection.

With the dialogue now understandable, it's good to see that the manga does address the language barrier issue. Need more chapters ;-;

Actually by the time of my post, ch 7 scanlations had yet to be released until an hour or two later.

Having read chapter 7, i laugh how the bar maid describe a rocket launcher as a man's "steel rod".

Looks like the refugees are rich by their world standards.

Finally got the raws of volume 1. Now i get to see the earlier chapters in a bigger view.

And looks like 4chan has a revised translated script for chapter 1-3.

Wow, this .. especially the back cover to Vol 3 reminds me of the story from reddit that is going to be made into a movie. A modern marine military unit is sent back in time and ends up in a conflict with the Roman Empire.. Ha!

Are you sure that you didn't unconsciously do something like replacing every name with Miyuki or something?

Doing a version 2 of the early chapters and not using the resolution from the tankoubon raws is a complete an utter waste, Imho.
