Question Surviving in extreme situations?

Hi, Im looking for animes that deal with characters surviving in extreme situations, some examples would be: Kaiji, shingeki no kiojin, jyu oh sei, infinite ryvius, tokyo magnitude 8.0, btooom, Mirai Nikki, gantz, blue gender.

I normally avoid stuff with too much fan service for example highscool of the dead, i mean it was a good idea but too many panty shots to be taken seriously.

Thanks.

Devil Survivor 2 The Animation premise is literally this kinda of setting .

Shinsekai yori - a bizarre Fantasy setting series that might not seem like it at first, but it definitely one overall especially the final arc.

Dragon Head - not anime but this is the best survival manga ever for me! Though admittedly it's more cerebral than violent, so if that's not your thing, well...

There's a particular arc in Space Brothers that definitely fits this request, but it doesn't begin until episode 39.

The great Uninhabited Planet Survive immediately springs to mind. The first 20 episodes or so are all about how a group of kids (who crash land on a uninhabited planet...hence the title ) survive and thrive while dealing with everything the planet can throw at them. There are some solid dilemmas with a few non-stereotypical solutions mixed with a very good cast of characters that never feel too cliche or overwrought. Later episodes feature some decent mysterious as the planet is explored further.

Claymore - in the last arc characters are forfeited to die because they were not needed anymore. Manga expends far more on it though.

Fate/Zero - similar to Mirai Nikki.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica - the end of the world is coming as well as many other problems.

Mai HiME - a lighter version of Madoka. Most of the drama kicks in second half.

Shiki - village gets invaded by vampires.

Shinsekai yori - lots of stuff happens.

Steins;Gate - trying to prevent death by time travel.

The ongoing series: Danganronpa - Young people are trapped in a school where the only means of escape is by killing someone, without the others finding out who the culprit is.

I second these:

Shinekai Yori - personal favorite, lot of character development.
Steins;Gate
Mai Hime - has battle manga stuff, mecha etc.. beat that person or your love one dies.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka - it hits you more if you have watch other magical girl shows. LOL

Well, if surviving inside of a deathly game is counted as extreme situation, then I recomend Sword Art Online first cour.

Neon Genesis Evangelion comes to mind.

As does Space Battleship Yamato.

And Shiki.
