I'm very, very happy to report that I didn't see any cringe-worthy moments with regards to badly drawn characters like happened far too often last season. Here's hoping the drawing stays at this level (or gets better!) for the rest of the season.

Loved the first episode. Yes, the drawing was very good -- but I am prepared for it to decline. The story and characters are good enough to sustain the show. I thought there might have been a few little story changes from the manga, but maybe I'm just forgetting.

Enjoyed the new ED animation and song by Wakashima Kanon, and the familiar tune from ON/OFF for the OP.

It was interesting to see the TV ads in the not-so-horrible Horrible Raws version: slimming tea, face cream, cleansing oil, home furnishings, beer for women, a mini-station wagon, etc. Not a show aimed at male otaku.

Just saw the first episode- not bad. The opening does not spoil anything, but eludes everything unlike the trailor.

I agree with the animation. It was good but be prepared for a decline soon lol
I can just feel it coming ( poor Yuuki, why does her eyes have to eat half her face? ;__; )

Anywayz, alittle off track in the beginning ( well they had to continue what happened from the last episode of season 1 ) but I'm glad they got back on track. Everything was pretty much the same like the dialogue but the settings changed a bit when it happened.

And I never knew the almost-kiss between Yuuki and Zero was THAT early. I thought it happened much later...then again my memories are fuzzy =__=;

And for the themes:
Ending theme>Opening theme in my opinion

The opening is fun to watch (very symbolic of course like before and for the manga-fans, lots of spoilers xD ) But the ending winned my heart. Yuuki looked so beautiful and I loved the whole butterfly trapped in the spider-web analogy <3

I agree, the first episode was quite good.
Nothing extraordinary, but I assume that the anime is waiting for us to settle in before throwing in the major plot points. =P
I think there were a few scenes this episode that occurred earlier than in the manga, but the pacing was fine nevertheless. I think the anime is just trying to budget their time so that they can get to the meat of the story earlier. ^__^

Well the first part of last season started out well too but then by epi 3 Kaname looked horrid. Hoping maybe people complained and we'll get better quality.

Hmmm maybe I should get around to watching the last 5 epis of s1 before I start season 2

Actually Kaname looking horrid started in episode 1 during the OP. Guess it's been a while since you watched that OP. You must have forgotten.

Personally just waiting for the SUB titles, felt season one was perfect in every aspect from story to art to music! Best Vampire Anime ever! ( I think it's even more funny it's October, and that I'm reading the Twilight series while waiting for this to watch as well)

Pretty good starter episode. Nice to see everyone back again. At least everyone is drawn nicely. Hope the rest can keep consistent.

The OP song is nice, but the video could use more...I don't know, actions or something

Anyways I thought it was very good for the first episdoe I was in love quick

The ending was pretty good, im also happy they choose a artist new on the charts
And it was all gothic, The balerna thing was a little random though I also loved the glowing red eyes at the end. It sems the did good animation
