We sort of had this throughout the first 6 episodes, where we had each character given their turn and we learn about them (sometimes gradually) but this is the first episode where we had the focus of the story told largely from a different prescriptive than Ohana's. I'd certainly love for them to do an episode like this once in a while.

Yeah, I was just thinking that each episode gave us an introduction to the various characters in the series. The first and second eps was largely to do with Ohana and perhaps Ko as well in ep 1. Ep 3 was to do with Taro and also with Nako and showed us why she joined the inn and her motivations. Eps 4 and 5 have a lot to do with Minko on the other hand and lastly, ep 6 sheds some light on Ohana's grandmother. Of course, we have ep 7. Now that we got introduced to most of the main characters, I suspect we're going to start getting more serious, especially in ep 10 where something epic is supposedly going to happen.

I was kinda turned off when I read this episode was Tomoe-centric but it ended up being pretty funny. How her attempts to get kicked off backfired and the clients ended up loving her . Plus, she earned a lot of points with Nako and Ohana.

BTW, is Ko-chan really going to Ohana's inn?

Actually he was getting on the train in the preview but nobody knows his goal.

I suspect it's a troll like the episode that Tohru left.

We saw him on a train in the preview but that could just be Ko going to school or something. When I saw the preview for this episode, I thought Tomoe had joined the army or something...

Episodes this hilarious should be illegal.

I see now the premise is set up so an extremely wide range of customers can show up at the inn; whether they're normal people or hardcore paintballers, they'll get what they want at Kissuiso. So, who's going to walk through the front door next? Rabid anime fans, or even worse...

COSPLAYERS!!!!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Episode 7 Rating: 9/10 (Currently my highest rating of any Hanairo episode)

Where do I ask for avatar sized GIFs of the wonderful moments of Tomoe-sama and her interactions with those "survival game" men?

In the HanaIro avatar/sig request thread , very much preferably with timeframes and scenes' descriptions (as indicated in the first post there).

That's why the HanaIro previews are so effective. They run your imagination wild without revealing much about what's actually going on in an upcoming episode.

I always thought that Tomoe is a much older person in her 40's with her tied up hair she had at work. She actually looks like Misato from Evangelion when her hair is down and chillin' it in her apartment.

Ko and Tohru will meet. And they'll fight it out Fist of the North Star Style.

Ko: Get off your horse Tohru, I'm ready. Are you?

Tohru: Yes, but I see no reason to dismount. I believe I have a distinct advantage the way things are

Ko: Quite stalling Tohru, come on!

Tohru: Death shouldn't be rushed, one should savor it like fine wine and enjoy it's aroma. But if in consideration for your impatience I must kill kill you now, then so be it.

Ko: Enough talk! Defend yourself Tohru!

Spoiler for The rest of the cast:

You're right. The Tohru/Ko conflict is more important than that. The equivalent would be Roah VS Kenshiro.

Yes, but it's running wild like Hulkamania does.

Tohru: Watcha gonna do, Ko, when my 24-inch pythons of love come crashing down on you?!

So it's cool. Very cool.

Keep up the good work, Roger Rambo!

Many thanks Triple_R you were always a cool dude! Though isn't it Ohana that Tohru wants to put his 24 inch pythons of love around?

Wait a minute. Isn't it OHANA with the 24 inch pythons of love?

Funny you should say that. I had the weirdest dream last night that HanaSaku Iroha was suddenly a Gundam show and Ohana was diagnosed as a Newtype. To put it into context, I've recently been watching a lot of Gundam...

Wait. Did you just compare that little man to HULK HOGAN, the LEGEND? I demand an apology. Tohru, is at most, John Cena.

However, if you write a fic involving writing in someone like Stone Cold, the Rock, or Chris Jericho (Y2j version) taking chairs to some of the cast, all will be forgiven.
