Only that it has all vanished now. No light shines from my sky, nothing but clouds of reckoning.

It was a small, quaint place, a derelict Belka church wrapped by dense nature; a secret garden that I had always known as a child, and that if I couldn’t find one of my sisters, I knew she’d be here.

But it’s all changed now, as I fought against the unending gray fog that claimed this realm of happiness. I can still hear them, the shrill cries of little Wendi, Dodi and Quattro as they dove into the bushes in hiding. Dieci would always pick them off first, and Quattro would complain for the umpteenth time that Sein was cheating by hiding in a solid tree.

I stopped again, this time by a giant redwood bracketed by monstrous Glownight fungi. Beneath the lowest half-moon, I could see that the protruding root was still as worn flat as I had remembered. Otto would sit in the shade of the mushroom, immersed in the latest book he asked me to retrieve from Terra. I knew he could go for an entire day without stopping, and the tree seemed to have grown to accommodate his perpetual company.

I smiled as the memory played on. Two arms reached out of the redwood and wrapped themselves around Otto, Sein’s head following soon after. At first, Otto’s reaction was tremendous; I had never expected the solemn and fearless boy could even get so worked up. But over the years, as Sein and Otto grew, he became less and less hostile. But I too saw something else. Sein was changing too; and from the twinkle in her eyes that sparkled as she read over Otto’s shoulders, lost in their own peace in the midst of galactic chaos, I knew.

I stepped back from the redwood and looked up. Its royal green crown had vanished into the darkened heavens, making look like it suddenly had so much of itself ripped away. A stray drop of water landed on my shoulder; very quickly, it became a fine drifting mist.

Hmm, if you really think about it, having such an outfit CAN be an advantage if she were able to use her scantiness in order to distract her opponent in the middle of battle. However, if she were unprotected due to the amount of skin being shown... being hit by a spell would NOT be a pleasant experience. Speaking of OC's, I've been tinkering around with one of my own. Due to my limited knowledge of Nanohaverse up to this point, I have encountered some roadblocks as to how well my character fits in. I wonder if I could count on you kind people to give me some pointers. As of right now, I am NOT planning a fanfic with this OC, I just felt bored with my summer and suddenly got an infuse of creativeness, so I whipped this little number up in a few hours. Enjoy! Personality: Verbose in all aspects, very talkative. His demeanor can be split into two non distinct categories:

Normal-Usually used in the office or off duty for long periods: He is laid back and takes most everything in tongue and cheek. Is approachable and is easy to strike up small talk with. Is known to make speeches and spew random new age thinking that both induces annoyance and contemplation in those he talks to. He is respectful to strangers, does not get in people's way, and usually does not speak unless spoken to.

High-This personality comes out when he takes a combination of stimulants (Red Bull, Instant Coffee, Ephedra pills, etc.) or/and is deprived of sleep that comes with the job of ship piloting.
Unfortunately (or Fortunately, depending on which crewmember you ask) this attitude is the one that is most often shown to his peers. When he is running on stimulants, the innocently amusing banter that comes out of Thad's mouth transforms into darker, moodier, and drawn out rants that constantly mock, insult, and complain about almost all aspects of life both in and out of the TSAB. These rants can come out both as either cool, collected, and serious complaints, or a blabbering string of words that mesh together in one long stream of speech. Both types of speech however, still manage to contain humor (albeit somewhat darker) and sarcastic anecdotes to civilian life that manage to keep the ship's atmosphere lively. In general, Thaddeus under the control of stimulants turns into a sarcastic smart-a** whose primary way of communicating is through wise-crack comments that hold almost no regard to social and political correctness. Almost every person, planet, and organization in existence has fallen prey to Thad's merciless tongue. The TSAB, Midchilda Kingdom, The Aces, The Wolkenritter, Even his own shipmates whom he would die for in combat are not spared from his semi-serious tongue-lashings. While his constant banter does sometime get on his crews nerves, it is the fact that Thaddeus actually can commandeer the ship better and make better decisions behind the helm of the ship while on these stimulants that his commanding officer allows Thaddeus to continue.

Relationships: Due to his career, Thaddeus's deepest relationships are with his shipmates. Though Thaddeus frequently pokes fun at his shipmate, everyone knows that his comments are all made in fun and he actually considers all of them to be best friends. Thaddeus sees himself as the primary entertainer of the group and tries to pump life into his ship by serenading the crew with off key music from present and past, complaining/making fun of current events, and his personal favorite: conspiracy theories behind intergalactic events and even the ships own assigned missions. General consensus from the crew toward Thaddeus is 49% amusing, 49% annoying, 1% absolute trust, 1% total hate, and 100% entertainment. His relationships with his superior officers are professional enough, but his respect for TSAB personnel wanes after his immediate shipmates and fellow officers.

History: Thaddeus was born to a ordinary human father and a mage mother. Through the luck of the draw, most of the genes passed down to him were non-magical in nature and thus never developed a complete linker core. Due to his mother being a valuable member of the TSAB and his dad having bailed on the family after he was born, his mother was able to get him enrolled in the TSAB funded school system. However, due to a combination of his mother always being on missions, lack of magical ability, and an incredibly sharp wit, he alienated himself from his peers and constantly got into trouble. One bad habit he picked up in this time period and sticks with him even today is his use of over-the-counter stimulants, which he used to get him through the extra detention homework assigned by his teachers. What he lacked in magical talent however, he made up with in mechanical prowess. He was naturally gifted with electronics and operating machinery, so much that by mutual agreement, Thaddeus agreed to join the TSAB air force upon graduation of secondary school. After this he was an airman for several years before he was made the pilot of a small TSAB cruiser called the Undertaker. It was then that he met his shipmates that have remained with him to this day, doing random tasks assigned to them by the TSAB.

All we need is Skane to come and tell us something and OC might just take off like before, for better or for worse, since this was how OC Thread started.
