Non, non, some peoples care.
Thanks for reminding me it's this time of the year again, I have been so busy lately that I completely forgot about it. Looking forward to see the result as usual.

I find it surprising that Ryuuou ranked 1st in 2017 and 2018 and now ranked 2nd in 2019.

@AP24. Ryuo probably didn't get 1st this year because they didn't want to blacklist it ala oregairu

Surprised Touma claimed #1 over Kirito.

What's Bisco?

Is that true or just your conjecture?

This, it's full title is Rust-Eater Bisco. No idea what it is about, but looks something your more likely to see out of a Shounen JUMP mag than an LN.

It must be pretty good to have ranked so high.

I thought it was monster hunter-related.

Ayye, Honzuki first for tankoubon for the second time in a row is nice to see.
Maine dropped a bit in the ranking going down from 2nd to fifth, but that's still a very good result considering the popularity poll's heavy weights she's up against.
That "no danmachi in top 10" is a bit surprising tbh.

Bell is still in the Top 10 for male characters at least.

When you get right down to it, nothing about Index's series placement makes sense. Last year it had a mixed volume and a great volume but came in 26th and looked like it would never reach the top 10 again. This year it had a mixed volume and a great volume and it came in 9th beating out SAO. Is this the anime effect?

Also, my man Kamijou once again claiming Best Character and equalizing Kirito and Hachiman with his 3rd win. Its a 3-way deadlock now for most popular male character. But who will steal the 4th win next year. With Oregairu concluding and bringing in the inevitable shitsorm; SAO starting a new arc past Alicization and Index in the middle of the arc we were promised since forever, its anyone's game.

As for Misaka... meh, she didn't do anything to deserve it. Scary popularity though.

I mean yeah. To begin with there are quite a few stuff outside the top 10 that sells on par or more than the titles listed. Furthermore SAO still sells the best out of everything above it and has constant marketing releases and yet it's barely in top 10. I don't think KLNS truly reflects popularity of the most notable series in the medium anymore, if it ever did. The books rankings are more advertisement than a serious gauge of what most readers like.

Heeh, Maine has the second lowest number of votes in that top 10 but the highest average of all, which means less peoples knowing her but peoples who knows and vote for her places her particularly high in their list.
Atta girl!
Lots of characters and bunko titles I don't know in that partial list already ;O

KLNS has lost it's credibility to the eye of a portion of the public there's no consistency coming from them or that's the feeling they give off.

While Touma owning the others might seem like an accomplishment IMO it's because Hachiman has become a really pathetic character losing the shine and appeal he originally had

Mikoto...do others even try to read other series characters anymore?
