Wow, those hunters are sheep. Voting for whoever they're told to.

Only Togashi could make an election into a psychological and strategic battle of wits. And that's what we love about him.

Four episodes left...

No. She's just a normal human who uses make-up or plastic surgery or something to physically match the image of a dog that Netero assigned her. It was said in the episode that introduced the Zodiacs that all of them but Ging and Pariston go out of their way to match their animals. This is also where Ging's "you're out of character!" comments were coming from.

Yes, I remember that, just found it a bit hard to believe that she'd go to the extend of replacing her ears for dog ears and it doesn't seem likely that those are fake, along with the nose.

I sympathise with Cheadle, because people like Pariston are the most annoying opponents in a game lol. You're playing textbook and trying to make the correct decisions in order to win, but you can't get a solid read on them while they're thwarting you at every turn because they know exactly what it is you're trying to do. Until you know what they want to do/cut off their options, they're incredibly frustrating.

EDIT: Come to think of it, Cheadle is very formal and does things by the book, Pariston's the opposite. It's no wonder why they clash.

Which is exactly why Pariston is the only one carrying on the former Chairman's legacy.

When you realize this person seriously doesn't give a crap about any of it, and is just trying to have fun by annoying, it becomes even more frustrating.

You know, I wonder what all the Hunters there not in the know think about what's going on?

Everyone up there is either saying super selfish stuff or is telling them to vote for other people. Plus, they can't leave until it ends. I'd be really annoyed.

Yeah, and Ging, the only other person who's capable of carrying on Netero's will and can read Pariston, is bouncing out. Oh Ging....

Exactly, it's like they're toying around with you and dumping on your best efforts haha.

I almost can't believe Leorio actually said that - Togashi, you magnificent bastard. But the best part was closing with "Forget that part about jacking off."

Why would one get bored? This has been one of the most interesting episodes in a while.

Because it's an "all talk and no action" episode. Especially coming after the few previous episodes with the chase and all that.

There's a lot of action, there just isn't any (physical) fighting, but I'd imagine most HxH fans would be acclimatized to that by now, seeing as this is a series where most of the battles are psychological ones (and in my view all the more interesting for it).

That's what bothers me a bit about this arc. Hunters are supposed to be the elite. Even if monsters like Hisoka are rare, everyone in that room should be strong, determined, experienced. They all have their own motivations.

And yet, aside from a few players, they're all pretty much pawns. Voting whatever their favorite wants them to.

Uh... wasn't that the point of Pariston's little post-speech debate? That even if Mizaistom asks his supporters to vote for someone else, that doesn't mean they have to listen to him if they honestly feel that he's the most qualified. You seem to be confusing what the candidates are trying to do with what they'll succeed in doing. We haven't seen the results yet after all.

That said, it is a bit weird to treat the audience as so generic.

Amen.

And I think the dog ears thing was done intentionally by Madhouse because it's funny. Just my guess.

It's possible that many of them may not care who gets to be the chairman as long as they get to keep doing what they've always been doing.

Leorio that speech. My face hurts from laughing so much today.
