This episode turned out very well. Could they have done better? Yes. Did they nail enough of it to make it work? Definitely.

As for pacing, I think they handled it as well as they could. Unlike EP1, they were able to stick in what they needed to without making things feel rushed, and only fully eliminating one scene I was sad to see go. I'm a bit worried about ep11, but we'll get there when we get there.

I agree. I'm liking the voice acting work in the series a lot and those two in particular did a pretty good job this time around. Even Maria's voice was alright, although in her case the creepy faces continue to be...overused.

Hand scene... It's been a while since I found this anime scary. (It's fine as a comedy too though...)
And then there were the goat (*huge laugh*) and moving key (funny, UmiNeko quality).
Though Beezlebub, huh... The only thing I can think of is the one in Night Wizard.

It was fun while he was alive. With his panicking.

It's also been a while since Maria stopped making hilarious facial distortions and looked like a cute little girl for once. Well, she still made one or two this episode.

Phew... I was worried the sponsors would be dull again, but they reversed the scene at the end...

The flying words are hard to read and entertaining as ever though. (Just scroll them normally, animator...) Circling, flying... What's next... *goes to Powerpoint*

I really liked Beelzebub's "OSHIMAI!" because it's so her.

hmm. I wonder if it's just me or beato's laughing scene has been more and more well-done recently while they're trying to reduce Maria's facial distortion scene...

Ohara has done a really good job at making Beato's laughing sound which fits to her face. But i wonder why they didn't show Beezlebub's full face, is it because she was supposed to be thrown through the door?

I think her laugh has gotten more insane sounding in the last couple episodes

Definitely surpassing Satsuki-san's Shmion laugh.

Oh yeah, this episode made me like GeoShan more for some reason. Maybe it was SUPER NOT-DORKY George and MOE MOE Shannon that did it...

-The 'getting to Natsuhi's room' part wasn't how I imagined it at all. In the VN I thought the scene was incredibly tense and urgent, yet in the anime it had calmed down a lot.

-Beato's cackle just keeps getting more and more epic.

Marion The Great Dine Join Date: Feb 2009	Finished the raw. Spoiler for Review: General: Pacing - Still good, it wasn't nearly as slow as the last episode thankfully. Voices - Loved Hitoshi Bifu (Gohda) in this episode. I also liked Beelzebub's voice, even though she was only there for a short time. Ohara is still good, but sometimes I think she kind of overdid it I think she's having tons of fun. Music - Dominator was kept, thankfully, albeit it was used for a very short time. I think it would have worked better when Shannon was being attacked by the golden butterflies, but that might not have worked since once they got to Natsuhi's room there was any sense of urgency until they heard Beatrice's voice. I liked the choices overall. Art - Good. I really liked Maria's facial expressions, for once, and Gohda was done great too. Although only thing I don't get is why they made Shannon's eyes bulging in the scene when George is trying to open the box and she's watching him. I mean what, it looks so weird Pros: -Mostly kept everything intact (which scene did they remove?) -Shannon was handled well, although it was weird how she went from crying to normal in almost an instance. -Poor Battler ;_; -Genji talking to Rosa was really good. I felt a sense of tension and almost pity from the others on him, as he was forced to turn over the master key he was trusted with to Rosa. Cons: -The way the episode ended. -Still think they should have shown Beelzebub coming straight through the door instead of just outside of it. Overall: This episode was good, but now I fear for the finale episode. There is a lot of things to put in and I'm worried they'll go at a super fast pace to accomplish getting everything in. But besides that worry, which I can save for next week, I'll give this episode an 8/10.

Spoiler for Review: Pretty good episode, 8.5\10. + OH MAGICAL GOHDA CHEF YOU NEVER FAIL TO MAKE ME SMILE + Battler's breakdown, and the following scene with Beato, were spectacular. Already favorites, maybe in the whole anime. + Rosa was awesome, and Maria less creepy + MOE SHANNON IS MOE + Genji=Badass + I love how Beato's just like "Wazzup bitches, I has goats." She's epic. + George was so...COOL for some reason. xD + Beelzebub is awesome, her "Kawaii!" made me laugh so hard. ? Animation fails. xD Gohda and Genji also looked kinda weird in some shots. - They took out the "Call Me" scene! DDD8 - They didn't get far enough to give the next episode good pacing, sigh
