I agree that Pieta will be the end of this season in the anime. It gives a good "Chapter 1 end" kind of transition to the anime.
But what the crap do I know? I'm still waiting on them to continue with the Berserk anime. |

Heheh, where's the suspence in suggesting the possible last episode at this point? We're already so near the end.
Let's play a game! Why don't we start betting on the final episode instead? Although to be sure, I'm not sure what I could wager. |

Critical Point sounds like the end of Pieta ... was a very critical moment.
Mentar's diagnostic seems a bit too optimistic, but I'd like to see that as well (Lucrezia? what? that must be the most creative spelling I've seen of that so far oO; randomly shifting letters XD ) |

Spoiler for more candle spoilers:
Anyways, as for my guess of when this season will end, it highly depends on whether or not they definitely plan on doing a second season or not. I cannot find a reference at this moment (will look around more) but I believe I read that the manga publication will be moving from monthly to weekly (or it might have been biweekly... I really need to find where I read this again). If that is the case, it would not be unrealistic to believe that the mange publication is being accelerated not only due to their increased popularity but also to accommodate a second anime season in the near(er) future. If they definitely plan on producing a second season, it seems possible that the first season will end at an unresolved moment. Priscilla commenting on the last candle going out seems like a good time, but I'm not certain there is enough material for episodes 20-26 before this point, especially when you look at the currently registered episode names (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...d=7028&page=25). What seems more likely to me is that season 1 will end at the 7 year break or right after, with Clarice finding the swords. I think it'd be hard for them to fit all the material in that comes before this though.. so who knows. If they don't plan on making a second season... I really have no idea where they'd end it. Based on how close the anime is to the manga so far, I doubt they'd make up an ending just to have closure. It always angers me when animes do that. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. =P EDIT: Okay, so I found the original page where I read it was changing to Shounen Jump Weekly, but it states that Claymore was not necessarily becoming weekly. My bad on that. =P I did find that Claymore would be switching to Jump Square on Nov. 2nd. Unfortunately it sounds like this will be the dates of upcoming publications: Shônen Jump #31 (2 July) >> Extra 1 Shônen Jump #36-37 (6 August) >> Extra 2 Shônen Jump #41 (3 September) >> Extra 3 Shônen Jump #45 (1 October) >> Extra 4 Jump Sq #1 (2 November) >> Chapter 74 Anyone capable of reading Japanese care to confirm this? I managed to find the Jump Square webpage but I'm not fluent enough to glean anything useful: http://jumpsq.shueisha.co.jp/ ><;; Last edited by Rehwyn; 2007-08-13 at 20:40. Reason: Updated Info |

My theory is in the manga, everyone will die Ideon style. If that happens, it will be most awesome and tragic ending ever.
