it's surprising even how after she had everything returned to her, she still retains the 'aggressive' attitude (maybe not so much aggressive as daring)

Me too. Senjōgahara is currently the meat of the show. If she actually turned 100% deredere, I'd seriously consider stop watching this series.

I was surprised with that actually, especially with how she acted at the end of episode two. But her character is different from when we first met her, so its not like what happened in episode two had no impact.

the beginning half of episode 3 was really cute when Senjōgahara and the main character were playing on the playgrounds by themselves.

haha I agree. It looked like two kids just having blissful fun amidst their rather insightful conversation. I also felt that when Araragi was all glee and happy when he successfully beat Mayoi was hilarious! This series so far is just pure gold!

She said that she was a tsundere in episode 1.

Edit: I suppose "called herself a tsundere" has more accurate connotations.

it may be irony, but what's the context

is she saying so to tease araragi?

Dramatic irony. She refers to herself as such even when it's clear to the audience (and Koyomi) that she's not.

ah, makes sense, i could've sworn they were trying to make fun of araragi in ep 2 with the whole changing scene and his general sheepishness during the ep 3 park chat

anyways, you think this this show will get pushed up to the current series section?

I'd really love it to, but I don't think it has enough posts/discussion yet.

I doubt it'll get a subforum, and honestly I wouldn't want it to. In my experience, series only get subforums if they have lots of side conversations going on at the same time. For example, some people talking the most recent episode while others are talking about merchandise while others are talking about the seiyuu choice, etc etc. Focused conversations like this one has been so far don't benefit much from subforums, and frankly it dilutes the conversation into a bunch of separate threads that individually don't get much activity. I've seen more than a few subforums of popular series die out after the switch.

I'm a big fan of the voice actors shown so far, so that makes all the conversatons really entertaining for me.

Chiwa Saito's voice fits the role very very well. It just works with the way Senjōgahara acts.

Can anyone clarify this for me. After Koyomi rejects Hitagi's offer that he can have a girlfriend, she says "You really do have large tolerance", he pauses and blushes afterward.

What was going on there?

Senjougahara is mai waifu. (屮゚Д゚)屮

Normally I don't like that sort of character, but something about the way she manages to be catty, pushy and still calm (also a total tease) really appeals to me. Her character design is something to be fond of, as well, and Chiwa Saito sounds as great as ever. I don't often get into the SHAFT Romance/Comedy type series, but I'll definitely enjoy Bakemonogatari, I think.

A couple screenshots of Hitagi from the first few minutes or so.
