Amnesia and surprise pregnancy are fairly common tropes in soap operas and the like. The first is an easy way to yank the dogs chain, so to speak, by potentially undoing some development (a positive or negative development at that), while surprise pregnancy is fairly solid way to really drive up the tension in a love triangle.

I thought in order for the author to savage the series would make alternate endings. So not everyone would rage. Also @ RDNexus Agreed. lol Reason in my previous posts I misread the name of thread name of "author of" thus giving me the impression there is a "good ending." Welp

Wrote MC have incestual relationship with his sisters, fck both them. One sister is pregnant and another one not. Instead made MC to take rensponsbility she made MC marry other sister because Muh sister is suffering and the mc love muh sister more we have to care to her feeling ignored their daughter situation. It really creepy how Kei written this chapter in happy tone, in real life Rui daughter would break down in depression, her status unclear and their parent should die of shame. Also any people with common sense would already alienate this creepy family. There just many things wrong in there. |

@Oberstein, I didn't see it as THAT screwed up. Or I'm just used to it
Them being step-siblings made me worry less about that. The story has been like a soap opera from the very start. The main issue was, mainly, the last few arcs. Quite cringe-worthy for drama's sake. |

Granted, I forgot a lot of stuff, but wasn't the initial conflict something like this:
- Natsuo has a crush on his teacher, Hina. He gets discouraged by others that it's only a pipedream of them getting together. - He meets Rui on a mixer, who just wants to lose her virginity. After they did the deed, Rui doesn't want a proper relationship. - Natsuo's father wants to remarry. Turns out that the new mother candidate is the mother of Hina and Rui, who are sibings, and the family starts to cohabitate. Hina was far from perfect, she was a flawed human being to say the least. I always hated how Rui was treated as a saint, when if my recollection is correct, she made things worse for herself from the very first chapter. But of course, she slowly but surely fell for Natsuo anyways, it was a given. Just like Shiraishi from Yamada-kun, she was such a goody two-shoes in my perception, it was really nauseating. If Hina did something or wanted to do something, the community up and arms was about the morality card, how as an adult she should just fold, even though they knew what was the premise about. |

Something like that, @WingedAccelerator.
Then, twists and turns occurred...leading to this ending... Yep, Hina went through A LOT more than Rui. Spoiler:
For what end? For the author to claim that True Love comes from A LOT of pain and sacrifices? Dear Goodness... |
