But this is a great reason!!!
Didn't think I'd ever get to see him draw air gear characters again so I'm happy and looking forward to the illustrations he'll do for the character poll. (I hope Simca's in the top 3)

Unfortunately Oh Great had not redeemed himself on his writing after these years for the story itself still confusing OTL
the plot scattered all over pages, i have difficulty to comprehend.
what i could understand Ikki regalia seem broken or burned or something? which made him in weaker form as Sky king now?

She is 23+ year old now
also the span is 6 month after the ending

The thing about his regalia was that it wasn't receiving as much wear and tear, because he wasn't skating as much. Ringo and his tuner were worried about it, and then Simca showed up to bring him out of his funk.

Age doesn't matter as long as it's still the same fabulous look! Simca IS love!!!!

Eventhough Ikki does not act arrogant but it's kind of feel like he would soon become one.
Anyway, would anyone kindly remind me which chapter was it that he asked her out and said 'I'll be waiting'?

They had that conversation waaay back in Chapter 210. It was just after Simca, Ringo, and Kurumu all went to tell him personally about the 'Eternal Seed' option for the grand tournament.

Honestly, I never was keen on Simca being tossed to Nike as a couple. It felt like it was an afterthought. So I didn't mind that Simca became a free-lance journalist - it kept her away from that idiot. Besides, I really think that Ringo-Ikki-Simca can work. Wife-Husband-Mistress

You can't leave out Kururu.

I liked this chapter. And yeah, I agree that the Ikki-Ringo-Simca-Kururu thing can work. Kururu is the Tuner, Ringo is the girlfriend/future wife, and Simca is a the mistress. It'd be great - but it doesn't seem like Ringo likes the idea.

@Tempest: Yeah, Nike definitely didn't deserve Simca. She belongs in Ikki's harem. So that's why I'm glad they both still remember that promise about the date.

Yep. I can sort of see why it could've been kind of confusing, but yeah, this is it.

Ikki is in a funk and his "run" has become crappy. Basically, it's like he became stagnant after reaching the top of the AT world, and it's in part because he hasn't been "running" as much anymore. He only goes to trash weaklings.

I really say it's not good. It makes his Sky King title cry.

Kurumu doesn't really do anything for me. Sure, she's a cutie, but so are 80% of these girls - psycho or not. Honestly, Yayoi and Emily do more for me than Kurumu and they are mostly regular girls. Buuut, if I had to equate them to other characters, I'd do this:Ikki = IsseiRingo = RiasSimca = AkenoKurumu = AsiaAnyway, now that Simca's back in the picture, I hope she goes all-out as a woman against Ringo.

Isn't the Tuner's name Kururu? Why do you keep calling "Kurumu"? And Ikki needs her as his Tuner, so she's important.

Is there really going to be a sequel? If so, then hopefully it'll be focusing on Ikki, Ringo and the others. I'd like to see Ikki's date with Simca, as well as the resolution to this series' romantic subplot. It'd be nice if it were a Harem ending, with Ikki keeping Ringo as the wife, Simca as the mistress/concubine, and Kururu as the Tuner.

I'm okay with Ringo being the main girl, but I just also need Simca there in the relationship for the hilarity and shenanigans. Plus, I think she's hotter than Ringo.

I see the 3 girls are like 3 common type of route in any harem romance series or games.
Ringo = Childhood friend
Simca = Sempai crush
Kururu = Sweet girl that a man wants to protect type

normally I would support childhood friend route but Simca is too likeable

That's why I say he should keep all three. This one of those series where I'd totally prefer a Harem Route.

And the best part is that like you said, Ikki does also have feelings for Simca. I don't think ever got over his affection with her. I think Ringo should honor that and allow him to keep all three of them.

By the way, where is the Storm Regalia? I don't think Ikki is wearing it in this chapter. I want to see him using it so bad. Another reason why an Air Gear continuation focusing on Ikki (still mainly focusing on the main characters from the original series) would be great.

I skimmed all the chapters since the tournament and it seemed like all the Regalia's broke.

So no idea why they mention wear and tear for Ikki's AT unless it's a copy Regalia.

@^ yea, ikki strom regalia that using core(rumble, thunder, gem, fang, flame) + thorn key code + wind template + build using pledge regalia already destroyed when ringgo use it to save rika

as same with sky regalia, it already destroyed too.

so yeah maybe they using pseudo regalia
