I regen up to 20k each week, and recently I got up to 30k and just wasted 15k to get to E5 hard last dance. Thus far I've been running only on hard difficulty even though I started with 35k

Starting to think that Raiden is not worth it.

Last dance on E5 already cost me 15000 resources and counting.

Doesn't help when I get taihaed occasionally in sub node and HARD to get past the Ne class elite.

I guess you needed violence and more violence rather than luck and speed.

More like there's some weird conservation of luck and speed going on because my girls started dodging better and my supports started hitting critical targets after I swapped them out. It helped tons that Ayanami could deal decent damage to the Ru-class BBs(NOTE: I consider 10-20 damage against them by a DD as decent.)

How do you set your LBAs?

Try Lantern's suggestion. It helped me a lot.

1st base 4 Fighters, send the first one to I than the second one to M.

2nd base 4 bombers, send everyone to M.

Lantern says it helps to thin out her power somehow. It worked for me so you might wanna try this.

From these, I would say... "no" It will not be enough. Either you stock up your resources for awhile, then go for hard (Might not be able to make it.), or go easy. Easy is much more resource friendly, and high chance of decimating the boss fleet than hard (Also, it has no 2 CV Himes on pre-boss node L, which is..., I won't say further at this point...)

Do not stockpile in the middle of the event. Either you finish the map quickly or you deliberately go under the soft regencap and run the maps times to times.

It is pointless to stay above the regen cap unless you have like 200k. That's wasting 1440 fuel per day.

I'm at loss at what to do with E-5 last dance, on normal. That L node choke point totally hold my fleet without let me see the boss a single time. Tried all the recommended setup and nothing work. How I wish I could bring my BB to smash those Ne-class before she torp my ships to red, but then I'd have to entertain the E node and my DD all went red.

Gosh all these DD feel more like a burden every time.

Well, I plan to use Suijou to chip(save as much bauxite as possible) then switch to Kidou to clear.

For people who used Suijou for chipping, is node support mandatory?

For Node L, try line abreast, it worked for me. Even better with a red T cross.

Maybe I retract my statement earlier. Either go easy, or follow Klashikari's guide and go hard while your resource keeps to below soft regeneration cap.

The resource spent will still be large, even with STF.

To be honest, I suggest you get a better suggestion from the experts who cleared E7 in hard mode (Klashikari, Kakurin-san, etc.), who is able to give you a clearer and better suggestion for whether to do E7 in Hard or Easy.

Hence I'm actually asking here...........and looking around, trying to find people who cleared on Hard what they used, their LBAs etc....

Problem is, most of the 甲 clearers I know are RTA peeps and their composition and LBA setup might not be optimal.

Still looking for a nice guide. Hoping to do hard, but if I can't, I'll do easy since the difficulty gap between normal and easy and the rewards between both aren't worth it clearing on 乙

For reference, I did E-7 with a CTF on easy without a single retreat (all clean kills except last dance as 2 escorts randomly survived) and used up this amount of ressources:
9715 fuel
8014 ammo
1634 steel
7142 bauxite
9 buckets

I'm pretty sure you will stretch your luck with hard, at least your ressources will likely become super low whether you are lucky or not so imo the risk is up to you.

You want 2-3 Fighters in the first squadron with either torpedo bomber or LBA attacker for the remaining slots. Other 2 squadrons should have 1-2 Fighters with the rest being torpedo bomber or LBA.

Ideally, you want to save Type 1 LBA and the Nonaka for the third squadron to do maximum damage after the other 2 squadrons already shaved off enemy air power and escort units.

It is mainly RNG roulette though, and overcommitting air squadrons on the air boss will put a huge dent on your resources. OTOH, using a air defense squadron isn't exactly that impressive and you lower your damage output on the boss node by a big margin.

Should I bring Akitsumaru to E6 for the daihatsu attack? I don't have any of the kanmusu that can equip daihatsu. Please bear with me but that is my scenario. I'm running easy and all my other girls can do is carry around type 3 shells and wg42s.
