I'm sure it makes things more interesting. And you have 2 outta 3 correct btw I assume pple will fansub the movies as the licence afaik is for the series. But after finishing this series now, I'd say Funi has some serious work to do translation and mobile messages wise. Movie 1 dvd comes out on 24th, so most likely by early April, something will pop out. (If any tl'ers wanna take up the challenge of dealing with Kamiyama style philosophy...) x.x;;;;

Read the posts above. The first movie DVD comes out on 24th, so if there's no DVD, how do you expect any subs to come out? Not to mention, that the American version probably still has a long way to go with the TV series in itself...

Lol, someone has uploaded from the same movie guide that I've uploaded a few pics for you, but I deliberately did not choose those 3 because, those were the *gasp, oh my gosh!* shots when i read the guide before I went to see the movie (I bought it while waiting for the next show) It's a shame to be honest that you're hunting for these, of course it's gonna make it "even harder to wait for the movie", the natives didn't even get this until they went to see the movie and bought the guide themselves. *Just sighs and shakes her head* I'll pm you the answers, cause with this 'review' of mine for the entire series of EotE that I'm about to post, I've only tossed in mild spoilers and left the more sensational ones for you guys to enjoy when it gets subbed. That's the kinda person I am when it comes to anime/entertainment, the wait and not knowing makes it all the more sweeter when you see it occur on your screens, which is why I deliberately made my weekly posts on the series vague. I'm just that kinda gal. But no doubt someone else who cares less will translate that movie guide and reveal all for you desperate vultures who seek to spoil yourselves Higashi no Eden (EotE) Review (anime + movies) NB: This is only but 1 person’s interpretation of the series, so given the way it ended, I have a feeling that it’ll receive a mixed response, but here’s my two pence. ^^ Intro: Jan ’09 saw news in the grapevine of a never before seen collaboration between two renowned artists, coming together from opposite ends of the anime genre. Kenji Kamiyama, known for his work regarding Ghost in the Shell (GITS) and Chika Umino, known for her illustrations with the series Honey and Clover. This saw two separate audiences coming together to enjoy an original series (as written from Kamiyama’s mind, this time last year) – quite refreshing from the usual moe, harem or typical shounen/fantasy series that comes out season after season. Plot Summary: So the trailer presents a naked man walking in front of the white house with a gun, 10 billion yen on digicash and a wiped memory. Sounds intriguing enough… The story is of the 11 days spent with Akira Takizawa and Saki Morimi, his wiped memory placing him on the same level as us, the audience. The further he investigates the more he finds out about the game that he’s caught up in. Using a “magic-mobile”, the chosen 12 named ‘Selecao’ have to “save Japan with 10 billion yen”, as ordered by mysterious entity only known as Mr OUTSIDE. And so the TV series (11 Eps) sees us meeting the Selecao in turn, each with their own ideologies of how to spend the money given to them. There are conflicts along the way as well as ongoing questions that Akira discovers as he continues to piece together his memories. On the side, Saki and the Scooby gang (Eden of the East members), eventually team up and support Akira in his quest. The further they go, the more they get caught up in what does end up becoming a political intrigue which goes as far as challenging their very own government. The TV series is merely a prelude to the real story which presents itself in the two movies. The movies Spoiler:

Piccie presents: (These are from the movie guides, that I bought when I went to check it out, the pictures below are from the 2nd movie guide (the first being somewhere in my room) – I’ve no scanner, so could only snap as best as I could. -Click on the thumbnail then picture twice for it to blow up and zoom. Spoiler for movie spoilers:
Overall however, the series is definitely a breath of fresh air, given what comes out lately. It was something new, innovative and perhaps daring at times as well as comic and fun at times. In addition, the ‘romance’ in this series is somewhat quiet, mature yet heartfelt. Not a series that I’m going to sing praises for but I would recommend it, should someone wanted to try something out of their usual watching habits. Out of 10...hmmm a 7.5 from me.
