As to Freudian theories of development, they're still taught (alongside others). I remember hearing about the Jungian lines of thought in a psychology course, but I don't know how favored they are over others.

Your voice sounds radically different to others than what you hear yourself as when you talk, does that make you different? No, same thing with having slight variations in personality depending on where you are, who you talk to, etc. May sound different, doesn't mean you're a different person. I wouldn't worry about it unless your work self starting hating your home self and vice versa.

Something that's been bothering me about the Discworld: iirc it's been said that Death does not attend to every death personally, and that in fact it's a privilege for him to turn up (which is why it's seen as an honour by wizards that Death shows up to collect them, resulting in their 'going away' parties and the like). Yet in the various novels it seems that he turns up for every man and his dog (literally, he was there for Laddie for a while). Is there some rule that I'm missing?

In the past, I have actually suggested the creation of threads centered around companies instead of games. With Square Enix and Electronic Arts among the ones that need them the most, IMHO.
People have always ignored this suggestion, but I maybe I need to take the first step with an Atlus thread and see how it goes from there. Mind you, I would still need to mention this to the rest of the staff, though. I am also aware how the Persona 5 thread got taken over by the Atlus discussion, btw.

I got a 2006 Toyota Corolla.
It has this 'feature' where the dashboard backlighting dims down to almost off when you switch on the headlights. I assume this is supposed to be helpful for maintaining night vision in the dark?... Other cars headlights are so bright though, this hardly matters. Useless feature if you ask me. However, there are now countries that require you to keep your headlights on at all times (Austria *cough*). I actually think this is a good idea. It increases awareness greatly even during daylight. Getting cut off a lot less when my headlights are on. Anyway, I can not read the stupid dashboard when it dims down on a sunny day! I can't see how fast I'm going at all. Trying to follow headlight regulations and obey speed limits? Impossible... Does anyone know a trick to disable this stupid 'feature'? |

So if you are driving on a sunny day, you will not see anything there than your own reflection and darkness, unless they are illuminated. I could choke the engineer that came up with this retarded feature. |

The thing is functioning all right.
It is supposed to be like that, because "headlights on == night". Only that's not the case any more. It's just the problem of an old car: it has a cd player instead of mp3 and assumes people switch on the headlights at night only. |

Why do certain videos not work on the PS3?
I'm using a USB, some videos work some don't. I know they all work because I tried playing them on the PC. They PS3 doesn't recognise the files, they aren't showing up.

I'm actually trying to convert them to .mp4 right now, but I won't know if it matters yet.
EDIT: Okay, I can't get VLC's converter to work. All the 'guides' on Google are for old versions of VLC or have unnecessary steps like changing the dimmensions. How do I convert .mkv to .mp4 in VLC? Do I lose the subtitles in the process? If so, how do I convert without losing the subtitles? It keeps telling me 'VLC could not open the encoder' or something like that. EDIT2: Okay, I looked at some more guides and it doesn't look like I'm doing anything wrong but I'm still getting the error. EDIT3: Okay, it seems I'm not the only one who has this problem but everywhere I looks nobody can give a straight answer.
