Cooking Papa (クッキングパパ) by UEYAMA Tochi. A slice of life story following Kazumi Araiwa (31) a sales manager at a large Japanese corporation. He is the ideal employee and ideal man, the stoic no-nonsense manager that gets everything done on time, keeps his subordinates in line and .. secretly loves to cook? Cooking Mama, step aside, Cooking Papa is here!
 This is a very lighthearted series started back in the mid 80s and is continuing and thus definitely features a different perspective on things. One notable fact is despite his talent at cooking it's a running gag that he keeps this a secret from his colleagues, although one particular female subordinate who is enamored with him discovers his secret. He's the hardworking husband to the adventurous journalist wife, they have a lively young boy and make it through all trials and tribulations together. Each chapter also includes a recipe!
