Nope. By the ending Sena hasn't given up, Yozora was rejected, Rika turned down Kodaka but there are two different takes on this one sais it's over with no chance for them the other has it that maybe some time in the future, Kodaka dumped Yukimura and rejoined the club. Also Kate might have some chance but that's up in the air need to confirm with my cousin. All in all it was an open end/friendship end.

to be fair i really get tired nearlly volume 8 of him, don't read all the volume 9 and 10 but for what i get after that he still almost the same as the beginner in comparation with the girls which grow much more than him.

if the problem was "age" then the girls also where supposed to be stationed as him since they also where around 16 and 17, really don't come with age, maybe his weird infanty trauma but age no... i his age most of the males which i know could not really did one third of the mistakes he did on this series.

again most of the troubles into this series don't really come from the girls but from him he was the big troublesome, instead of being the "one to fixe" he was the one doing damages all over the places.

no matter how peoples are trying to defend him, he really was a terrible mc in many ways.

i gonna say for me the best end for kodaka could be in the south pole alone dying of cold, this guy really was garbage and none of the girls deserved to suffer for a really pinacle of a looser one of the thingd which ruined this series was kodaka cowardice he was too far away redemption.

I never did that's what college, your late 20's and early 30's are for. When I was in middle school and high school I had very little girlfriends like maybe 4-5 from 13-18. Just finished reading Chinese version of Vol11 - and I stand by what I said previously, it's just people hating on the end because their favoured pairing didn't happen of bad spoilers For example the 'saltiness' someone said earlier wasn't the author raging, but just 'taking the piss' at himself The LN was fast paced to the point of rushing, but eh nothing's perfect and this volume was pretty good in spite of that. To be blunt this isn't a train wreck like Infinite Stratos or Hidan no Aria, at the very least.

Spoiler for Some stuff not mentioned in thread before:

-Kate seemed to have raised flags to be Kodaka's step-mother She went on a fishing trip with Kodaka, his father, and Pegasus, and it turned out Kodaka's father is the kind of person she likes. Kate also stopped being a nun at the end of the volume (no mention of how far she got with Kodaka's dad though).

-Rika came out and out rejecting Kodaka, and he finally accepted it and moved on.
-Connecting with that, the people hating on this volume because they're Sena shippers and she didn't win GOT IT COMPLETELY WRONG. For those that started hating before they got concrete info - Sena won >.> Going by process of elimination:
-Rika rejected Kodaka.
-Yukimura forced Kodaka to choose between friendship and girlfriend (because she could never forgive herself for not making Kodaka as happy as having friends, despite she was very happy with Kodaka as a boyfriend, and made him choose), so Kodaka finally decided to break up with her 3 days before Christmas. (by the way, the 'go to hell, normal***s' comment Yukimura made? plainly joking, going by the context >.>)
-Yozora confessed, but was rejected outright as Kodaka admitted he had never saw her as a girl that way. Those two eventually settled as 'comrades', not quite fitting the 'friend' label. Honestly though, she's not Nisio to suddenly go meta on something substantial as that. She'd rather keep it to the Afterword, although the Afterword itself is more like humbling herself for being able to make it big only because of Buriki's illustrations.

Sorry, but that's just your personal opinion. Kodaka still loves Yukimura after she ends the relationship with him in the end of history. He didn't want to break up with her.
Yukimura still occupies an important place in the heart of Kodaka. She's still in the race. Only by the fact that Kodaka has ignored Sena doesn't make her the winner (and it's not as if he really loved her.)
What happens after they finish school is open to our interpretation, the author purposely left this ending for us to imagine what will happen in the future.

She didn't "raise and flags" with Kodaka's dad. She saw him and thought he was so cool and now understands why Pegasus has such a mancrush for him. The word they use alot for "love" can also be taken as "like" or "admire" depending on the context which, from what my cousin told me about the last volume, it's implied it's either a crush or the admiration of a senpai, basically she became a fangirl. Also Hayato isn't the kinda guy to take advantage of a young girl like that. Their interactions never even hinted at any semblance of romance.


Also about Sena, I figured she was still in the running since the Sena fans would outright riot in the street with a flat out rejection. Personally I like to think that Sena and him eventually date either after or during college and probably get in a "complicated" relationship instead of marry. It was an interesting ride to say the least, I'm just glad it's over and let this story just fade hopefully the next series the author does has less interference.

Eh, sure whatever makes you guys sleep better at night I guess, sure it's not impossible for people that broke up to get back together but that's less likely IMO compared to getting together with someone that didn't get rejected. But that's nature of open endings, it allows readers to choose their favoured endings and disparage anyone that dares to disagree I'm just a fool in thinking there's logic in shipping.
